in my opinion the quality of the food was excellent and the atmosphere was great too but more important than anything for us and for any tourist is the service and in patacon restaurant we didn't receive a good service at all. they really need to improve it. Three different waiters !!! What it's that! Basic's for service "listen, empathize, apologize,... More

We were referred to this restaurant by our hotel only to be terribly disappointed! This has got to be the worst $100 meal we have ever had. To start my carpaccio was served frozen on the plate and my partners mussels were less than fantastic. We had been recommended to eat the Patagonian braised lamb and this is the main... More

Despite the fact that my wife and I tend not to like large restaurants it was so highly recommended with good reviews we decided to give it a try and once again El Patacon confirms why we stay away from restaurants like this. Exceptionally large (perfect for tour buses), loud with very few people attending, poor service and just poor... More

We actually ate here twice. The food was very good. The lamb was amazing!! Portions here are huge, so be careful not to over order. We ordered a glass of wine instead of a bottle and it was excellent. The service was helpful and friendly. They made suggestions and steered me away from ordering meat that wasn't good that day.... We had a great experience here at El Patacon. The place is lovely, beautifully built with an incredible view. The staff was great, we were welcomed with a cold drink, a tour of the restaurant and then sat to our table, in front of the window with an incredible view. The food was great, a little higher priced than other... More

A fantastic restaurant with excellent service, food and ambience. The place itself is lovely - rustic style and with great views overlooking the lake. The staff here are friendly and professional in equal measure (and speak fluent English). I had two meals here and the food was consistently delicious, with lots of interesting options like local trout, venison and wild... More

First let me say that compared to other restaurants this one is considerably over priced. The wines prices are much higher than in other restaurants. However, on the good side, the food is delicious and plates are very big. The menu has plenty of options to choose from. I don't recommend the pasta as it seems like it came out... More

Enjoyed a first class meal at this great place. Enjoy a free drink and olives, while waiting to be seated. Wide selection of food and great wines, at reasonable prices. Had beef with mustard sauce, which was excellent, whereas the sole filet was dull, with no sauce and no taste. Excellent service and ambience. Enjoy !

El Patacon was suggested by our hotel, Lirolay Suites. It is almost across the street so it was very convenient. We suspected it might be a typical tourist restaurant especially when they offered a free drink just outside of the shop before dinner. Although there were many tourists most appeared to be Argentinians, many with young children. This was our... More

This is a beautiful restaurant with a great view and good service but the food really disappointed. A lamb osso buco that was mostly bones with a poorly spiced sauce and something called Trout Eric that was like trout meatloaf in a too rich sauce. The trout with leek sauce was OK. In retrospect we should have ordered the simple... More
