Dinner at the Meson de la Patagonia

The four of us had dinner at the Mesón de la Patagonia, and two days later my wife and I went again. And we did not return anew because we had to leave San Martín de los Andes. Pity. Our local flyfishing guide recommended this restaurant which turned out to be our most memorable meal in Argentina. A small family run restaurant with impeccable service and a fantastic menu and wine list. Don't miss dinner here, and be sure to order the prosciutto appetizer.

Our group of thjree loved this small, family run restaurant in the heart of San Martin. Appetizers were great and two of us shared the seafood paella which had a wonderful flavor. I eat paella a lot and the flavors in this were as good as any I have had. The other person had a steak (lomo) that was excellent.... More

I wasn't sure when my guide Esteban Urban suggested a seafood restaurant in San Martin de los Andes would be good? In the land of meats and cheese, I was so impressed with this elite restaurant the atmosphere, the decor and the coziness of home. The appetizers were incredible including the large shrimp or baby lobsters in this salsa oil... More

We found tiny El Meson and were so happy to enjoy this incredible restaurant. Our waitress was the niece of the family/ the uncle the maitre de/ and the aunt the chef. Really incredible dinner and good wine. Away from the crowds and noise! Fantastic!

A restaurant with a cosy interior, Well attended by the owner and great food. As mentioned on the menu they request time to prepare the fresh food and it is worth it! Not suitable for people in a rush or with a bunch of small children.

We had a wonderful meal in this little restaurant in San Martin de los Andes. It's run inside a lovely old house which is very warm and inviting. The service was spectacular, the meals were amazing (highly recommend the trout) and the evening was just perfect. I couldn't recommend it enough!

We just reached San Martin and were looking for some cozy good food. The restaurant is in a small house. The wife is cooking and the husband does the service. Home made dishes with a hint of french cusine. We had a lovely evening and when we were about to leave. The host brought us a glass of homemade lemoncello... More

We had a lovely experience with this restaurant. From the moment you arrive, guests are made to feel like honoured guests with the owners paying close attention to service provided. Very good food and the salmon in champagne sauce was excellent. They also provide complentary appetisers and liqueurs at the end of the meal. All in very pleasant surrounding with... More

My husband and I ate here twice during our recent trip to San Martin de los Andes. We really liked the atmosphere. All 4 of our meals were well prepared. Our favorite was the grilled trout with mustard sauce. The fried squid appetizer was also very good as was the spaghetti marisco (seafood) and the salad Meson. The sauvignon blanc... More
