Seafood tops

In spite of the days we were there being the National Lamb festival, we went for seafood. Lambs are best in spring, when they have not been frozen, so we had none. Most tourists did. The wine list was very good, and wines were available at room temperature, which I like. Now in Argentine... read more

Understandably popular restaurant on the main street, with a noisy buzz given the number of diners. Extensive menu with generous portions, an excellent wine list, very efficient service and great value for money. Seafood is its speciality but there's also a huge non-fish choice. Booking essential.

This nice typical restaurant is constantly full, therefore I would definitely suggest either to phone them and book a place, or simply pass by few hours before and book your table. We went twice during our staying in Puerto Madryn, and the second time I had my best fish meal in Argentina. The price are in line with the other... More

Went at 11PM one night and there was a line out the door. Went back the next night at 8pm and got in no problem. Staff was very energetic and friendly. I had the mixed seafood which is a huge plate of a variety of sea food prepared differently. The shrimp and prawns were very good. Calamari was good. The... More

Best meal we had in Argentina. They really do know what fresh see food means. I never had sea food of that quality in the US. The meal was great from start to finish, wine, dessert, coffee were all excellent. Outstanding value for the money.

Ate dinner on third night at Puerto Madryn. A power cut affecting part of the restaurant may not have helped. Waiter was OK and helpful but I felt the balance of attention was too much in favour of locals and I felt that we (and other visitors) were tolerated rather than welcomed. I finally got my cooked/ fried seafood medley... More

Managed to get a table just after 7.00pm after which the restaurant filled up rapidly mainly with largish family groups. We had the fish stew and hake dishes which were nothing special but nevertheless okay.We do try different dishes when travelling and sometimes we get it wrong so would not be critical on the 1 visit

The food in this place is absolutely great. Every time I return to Puerto Madryn, it will be a sure visit.

We happened on this restaurant on our first day in Puerto Madryn at lunchtime. They offer an excellent menu del diá: 3 courses for 120 pesos, which is less than £10. Absolutely delicious - my main course of white salmon in Roquefort sauce was fabulous. The staff are all male & clearly good at their jobs - the place was... More

Had some recommendations for this place so i made reservations for 6 for 8pm. We arrived at 8 and were told they don't open till 815. I said that's okay, we can have a cocktail. I was on crutches and had two little girls in toe and it was really windy but the man (owner?) not so politely insisted we... More
