Crab pate with onion rolls to start, yes. Extensive wine list and we were happy with our malbec. I was up for lamb but two of the four cordero entrees were not available this evening. I took a lamb shish kebab which was prepared and presented nicely. My friends each had seafood salads they liked. As it was my birthday,... More

Their signature dish, cod in honey, cinnamon and ginger has fed my friends at home for 6 years, it was so good then. After reading some average reviews, we just had to return to check. Hmm. Service was excellent. Crab pâté with onion bread rolls was a good to start. But no Cod. Pollack offered instead, though today not available.... More

This restaurant, located just of the sea-front in Puerto Madryn, is clearly set-up as a high-end diner, with all the trappings (warm morsels of bread with various dips at the start, etc). However, at the core, the dishes that we ate were average at best. My partner had a seafood option that included mussels - unfortunately she found some shell... More

I'm surprised by reading the other reviews. I only ate here once- Langostinos- very good or even better. I can only attest to this. As others have said. - No sea view, but the food( at lest what I had) made up for the lack of an ocean view. I have no complaints

Argentina is known for its beef. Little attention is given to the seafood caught off its extensive Atlantic coast, even by Argentines. (BTW, I was told that most of Argentina's seafood is exported, but I can't attest to the accuracy of that information.) It was 8:30pm when we strolled out of our hotel on Puerto Madryn's main street. We were... More

We visited Mar Y Meseta based on a positive review from Frommers and were not impressed. I had their star dish, the honey and cinnamon cod with sweet potato chips, and I found a fly crawling in it and it turned my bowels into Niagra Falls for three days. Our waitress was indifferent and despite the fact that we were... More

Had a really nice dinner there, on recommendation by our tour guide. The restaurant has no sea view (as many others in Puerto Madryn do), but has a lot of flair. Good choice of Argentinian wines, fresh fish, and a somewhat uninspired dessert menue.

We had the Arroz con Mariscos and the house specialty fish dinner and extremely satisfied with the meal and service. The arroz con mariscos was full of fresh, flavorful shellfish and absolutely delicious. My fish was topped with a delicious honey sauce that I was worried would be too sweet, but was well balanced with the fish and other accompaniments.... More

Our first choice of restaurant was not available so we were walking the streets and came across this one. Looked ok from the outside but inside service was quite slow (because there is only one waitress!) and food when it arrived was plain and not well presented (literally thrown on to the plate). It was however pretty cheap and clean.... More
