Nice restaurant in Salta

I was in Dona Salta for dinner after one of the tours in Salta. The place is nicely decorated. Staff very friendly and food is great. Great empanadas and delicious dessert.

It was a good restaurant for a late dinner. We had arrived from Puamarca at 21:30 and after a shower there were not much restaurants estou try. We had the empanadas, Tamales and the Locro, sharing all dishes. We had better tastes in other regional restaurants, but all of them were good. Price is affordable for a really touristic restaurant.... More

The empanadas and locro are very good! I think you are paying a lot of money for the good service and the flavor of the food, because the portions are small. So if you are hungry look for a place where the empanadas are bigger than here.

the managers behind the desk and the wait staff, except for one server are languid ( displaying or having a disinclination for physical exertion or effort; slow and relaxed.) at best. the empanadas are reasonably good, but the rest of the food is awful nevertheless they enjoy a good reputation. except for the quaint atmosphere THE REPUTATION IS UNDESERVED!

I was reading the reviews describing the restaurant as touristy but gave it a try since it was well visited and looked nice from outside. The food was unfortunately fairly mediocre and seasoning was bland. However what made me pay immediately after I had finished and run was the service. Hurried and unattentive is one thing. But using my table... More

Four of us went there for dinner the other night, recommended by our AirBnb owner. We had empanadas, salad, steak and salad. Everyone was elated with their meal, and I would say it was the best rib eye steak I have had in Argentina. Not sure why others have complained about service, as ours was excellent. Never had to wait... More

Food was OK. Decent empanadas. I had the goat. I thought it would be a stew, but it was grilled goat ribs. Very chewy and not much meat, covered with potato chips. Others in our group had the stews, which were much better than mine. Server seemed to be frustrated with us for not ordering faster. Hard to understand when... More

We went for a dinner. One has local specialities which taste good. The Atmosphere is nice. Not an extraordinary place but quite fine for a lunch/dinner with fair prices.

A bit of a tourist trap but none the worse for that. A lovely old building, well decorated with some beautiful wall hangings, and waiters dressed as gauchos. Unfortunately the food was pretty average. My wife enjoyed her veal and chick pea stew, but my flank steak was dry and tasteless. Credit or debit cards aren't accepted.

We ordered two local dishes (stew with veal, either with chickpeas or lentils), a salad, 1 glass of house wine and a bottle of water. All that came at a very moderate price of 265 pesos (about 18 blue euros). We would have loved to pay more for better food though. The stews were very filling but lacked proper seasoning... More
