Have visited this restaurant many times on various trips to Salta and would recommend it. Moderately priced, excellent food, and superb service. Great location as well.

I am in Salta in a Business trip, and I always try to eat the local cuisine, where I am traveling. I asked at the front desk of my hotel for suggestions, and Dona Salta was what was recommended. To be honest, I was very disappointed. The second I walked in I said to myself Tourist Trap, they were trying... More

Very good food but just at the limit of being too touristy. Great service by very knowledgeable waiters who gives great cues on wine. Great dinner!

We arrived late, close to 12:30 AM and before we sat down, we were assured we'd have time to eat before they closed. But then no one came to take our order for 15 minutes and we were told we'd need to be out by 1AM, so encouraged to order something "fast to make". House wine is poor, food not... More

Close to the main square this is a typical tourist restaurant with waiters looking like gauchos. As a European don't order anything Italian, you'll be disappointed. You're in Argentina, eat meat!

The goat provencal is excellent. Try the empanadas with the dried meat. This place fills up at lunch with locals. The hotel recommended it for good authentic regional food. Options include the beef, chicken, goat, pastas and empanadas etc.

Great value, excellent food, great service, even though they were really busy. We actuallty ordered far too much . One meal plus salad was plenty. Staff are amazingly efficient. Definately revisit.

Excellent place: nice decoration and delicious meals! The "matambre" and the boneless chicken were memorable. Also, the French fries Provençal (papas fritas a la provenzal). We went twice as we think it is one of the best restaurants in Salta. Very tasty, good ambiance and service

We were in this restaurant many years ago, but still remember our experience there. The food is all local, traditional and simple but very tasty. They have a good selection of Empanadas and the are delicious. The waiters dressed as Gauchos and open your beer with a huge knife, the décor is rustic. Overall a fun experience with tasty food.

and we were asked to pay for them. Honestly I felt it was a bit unreasonable but we could see the Head Waiter berating the waiter who brought them in error and we felt sorry for him. It just goes to show that dressing people up in costumes does not change who they are and how they behave. The bread... More
