Went last night for supper, as always this place is packed with tourists from all over the world, had 2 meat empanadas which were really delicious, but the locro (Their specialty) was terrible!!!! lots of white beans and zero meat! It was so bad that when we complaint to the waiter both servings were removed from the tab.....Nice gesture though!!!!

The atmosphere is nice when doing tourism and the service was good. However I had Matambre and instead of having the roulade of meat with everything I had only a dry and fat piece of meat. I should have requested at the time of the order what kind of Matambre it was, I did not know there were a lot.... More

We liked this spot much more than the many restaurants out on Balcarce. I asked around specifically for a place to get good "locro", which is a regional lamb/beef stew and this is the place everyone suggested locally. Loved it. Service was great---a very friendly "gaucho" (his outfit anyway), who was actually a guy from Bolivia. Just a block or... More

We went to Doña Salta twice and enjoyed it both times. Excellent empanadas, humitas and tamales, and if you are a fan of lentil stew, as we are, this is the place to go. Service is good and the waiters friendly and helpful. Very affordable too. Recommended.

We visited Salta for 5 days on the search for the best empanadas. After visiting Cafayate, Jujuy, Purmamarca etc, we decided to visit Doña Salta for some dinner based on recommendations on Trip Advisor. Ended up having the best empanadas during our trip, some tamales, locro and a fantastic carbonada. Also try the lemonade. Highly recommend a visit for an... More

The restaurant was touristy and high volume but the food and service were both very good. Prices were reasonable and there was lots of variety available.

Wanting a break from all the steak in Argentina, I popped in here for lunch one day and discovered locro, an Andean stew. Their version of locro had chickpeas, beans, veal, and pork. It was thick and delicious and just what I needed. Pretty casual atmosphere and the service was decent, though the costumes were a bit much. Decent prices,... More

The restaurant is designed in a traditional style which adds to the atmosphere. The waiter was very nice and suggested trying the traditional food of this area. The food was good and not pricey at all. They had high chair for the baby and kids' options in the menu. Location- not right in the central square but not too far... More

The restuarant offers a range of local specialities, including different empanada, yet the most I like was the lamb stew!!! It's so soft and juicy which I have ever had. And It was a perfect match with the Salta beer~ Cheers!

It is a restaurant for tourists, difficult to find locals over there. The service is really poor, waited several minutes calling for the waiter to come. The setting is nice, close to the main square, but there are other better options.
