An Oldie That's Still A Goodie

We've eaten at the original Macayo's growing up in the valley and had actually forgotten about reaching out and trying this place once again. After many many years we thought it was past time and glad that we made the stop because it was very good. My friend had a burro with the creamy sauce that... read more

My family loved our untraditional Mexican Christmas Eve dinner. The staff was outstanding! Very welcoming! They wore their Christmas sweater and best smile. The food was amazing. I had the chimichanga and was pleased with how huge the meal was! Loved it!!

Stopped here after my flight into Phoenix. Oh my goodness! Wonderful food. Way to much for me to eat!! I loved the guacamole. Everything we had was so delicious. Not overly spicy, just perfect.

We stopped here for lunch on recommendation from cashier at supermarket. Ordered the pork chimichanga. It was hands down the best. It was a Monday, it's their lunch special. Sorry we didn't go back.

Great company and great food for a very reasonable price. Lots of spicy sauces to accompany my hot food. It was clean place and the workers were friendly.

We tried this place while in Arizona to have some Mexican food. Sorry to say, but this was some pretty sad dishes to be considered Mexican food. My friend ordered Chili Rellenos, but was served two undercooked Anahiem chili's, with some type of cheese on top, not inside, with a watery red sauce. Tacos were bland and not exactly sure... More

If I could give less than a one rating for Macayo's I would push them into the far negatives. I have been to at least three of the locations. Each time the food was cold and tasted as if my 7 years seasoned, my 5 year cooked it, and my three year old served it after she went and played... More

Macayo's was one of the several vendors whose food I tried at the recent AZ Taco Festival here in Scottsdale. The flavor was of the meat was excellent while also nice and tender. After this experience, I am looking forward to trying more of their menu at their restaurant.

Wife and I headed to our local Macayo's for lunch for the first time in many years. Immediately, we were impressed by the colorful interior -- bold red, orange, green and blue. From the luncheon menu, we ordered Macayo bowls. They come in either beef or chicken; we chose beef and were delighted. Just the right amount of food for... More

If you are to visit this restaurant be sure to sit on the patio along the pond. The view is absolutely amazing. The food is absolutely delicious while not priced too expensive. I cannot wait to go back.
