the food is great and always enjoy ourselves. the queso is great. Not your traditional mexican good.
This is advertised as Mexico City Mexican food -- different than most of the Mexican food restaurants. And it definitely was. The service was excellent -- waiter was always right there with what we needed. When he saw we had a coupon, he even brought a scissors and cut out the coupon we wanted to use for us. The usual... The place looks ok, the food appears ok, but is terribly bland. For that, the prices are rather high. There are definitely better places in town.
La Parilla Suiza food is mediocre at best, and the prices are a bit higher than Arizonans expect to pay for ordinary Mexican food. The one way to get a good deal is to go for lunch and order from the limited lunch specials. I don't eat meat, so there was only one choice for me; a bland veggie burrito.... More
The food here was pretty good. The service was so-so. We were placed near the back, and nobody came to check on us often. I would recommend this place though.
Ameircanized Mexican food in over-blown Mexican atmospher. I've eaten many times at la Parrila Suiza in Mexico City's Polanco neighborhood -- this Mesa store is not the real deal. It is a disappointment, just more of the same Americanized hype of what the owners think we should like about Mexico. They are wrong.

My friend brought me here and I tried the Parrillada de Pollo. It was the most delicious chicken dish every. Diced chicken mixed with bacon, onions and peppers. This is by far one of the better Mexican restaurants I have dined at in the Phoenix area. They have authentic mole sauce, which is a huge plus in my opinion, since it's difficult to find in American restaurants. The mariachi band was a nice touch as well, great vibes and I would definitely go back!
They specialize in more Mexico City fare. Soups, Stews, Soft Tacos - all good.
