Let's be honest-Mesa is not known for its BBQ. but Waldo's resolves my BBQ cravings. They have good ribs, pork, and brisket. The turkey had little flavor. Prices are great, and it is a fun place to meet another couple for dinner.

Noise, family place with great food. Be sure to order the horseradish mashed and corn bread. If you're lucky, you'll get David as your waiter - he's a hoot! Oh, the peach cobbler is incredible - save room for dessert!

A fun BBQ place with kitschy signs and things hanging on the walls. Real good basic BBQ food. Not a bad value for the price.

We went on a Thursday night. Waiting over 10 min to once we were seated to even get a menu. Waited 1/2 hour for food. Ordered the three meat meal, the Turkey was really bad, beans were cold and did not get the corn. The manager was gracious and did take the meal off of our bill. Stick to the... More

Had the ribs. Great! Shared the large, 12, could have probably shared the small, 6, with all the sides. Unique, fun, "down home" atmosphere.

Have eaten here 3 times and everything was very good. The peach cobbler is to die for. The cornbread is also very good.

Food & atmosphere are unique. One of the better places in Mesa. I was spoiled with a place in the Midwest & I still have not found what I like here. Too much of a Western Texas influence here in Mesa for my taste.

Used to be a fave, but after 2 disappointing visits, I doubt we will return. Restaurant was uncomfortably chilly. Many patrons went to their cars to get jackets. Upon taking our order, the server told us they were out of baby back ribs and another kind of ribs. People! This is a rib joint!! Server told us if we wanted to... More

We've now eaten at Waldo's twice during our recent stay and these folks hit it out of the park! I had the brisket and my wife one of the pork sandwiches and both were great. Fresh bun and just the right amount of meat. Two sandwiches, a drink, and cole slaw for $9 (yes, that's nine dollars!!!). We need a... More
