Vito's: Bono Appetito!

Mama Mia! Okay, lousy Italian joke...but Vito's sure isn't! This is an authentic Tuscan restaurant that just oozes with atmosphere and outstanding food! Mama Mia! Okay, lousy Italian joke...but Vito's sure isn't! This is an authentic Tuscan restaurant that just oozes with atmosphere and outstanding food! I've been a customer since I moved to Arizona in 1993 and I have never had even a mediocre meal at Vito's! The pizzas are amazing; light and airy, and filled with flavor. The lasagna? It was our first time visiting here and we were impressed. Will definitely be back. I had the chicken piccata and my husband the beef stroganoff. Both were very tasty. We had the Caesar salad side. The dressing was not the typical Caesar in my opinion. I welcomed that in that it made it a lighter salad. Dressing was slightly... More

The correct full name is " Vito's Pizza & Italian Restiorante". While their pizza is OUTSTANDING , it is a quietly elegant full service restaurant, with separate lounge/bar area, several rooms, and covered outside seating. The staff is considerate and attentive. I have yet to try a single dish on the menu that has been less than excellent, all the... More

I greatly enjoy Vito's thin crust pizza but tonight I and a friend chose to order something else. I had the beef stroganoff and my friend had the veal parmigiana. The bread served had a firm crust, good italian taste and the body of the bread was soft and chewy as is expected. Our drinks were unique orders but tasted... More

This is the best non-chain Italian Restaurant we have visited in Mesa. Even though there were ten of us, the service was great and the waiting time for the main courses to be served was not excessive. The appetizer garlic bread was superb, much better than at Buca di Beppo's. Different main dishes and salads were ordered and nobody voiced... More

Vito's is a very nice Italian place, great ambiance with outside or inside seating. We had the shrimp/calamari appetizer which was big enough for more than two and very good. The food is very good and it is a worthwhile place to visit.

Maybe I was expecting more because we had heard such good things about this restaurant. The food was very good - but not awesome. I thought little pricey for pasta considering salad or soup was extra cost. You did get bread. Service was very good, almost too quick as we had not finished our cocktail when dinner arrived. Missed the... More

Very nice atmosphere. Service was great and attentive. I am pretty picky about Pizza and was a little disappointed with the thin crust Margherita. The crust was dry and It felt like I was eating a cracker. Other dishes were wonderful. Nice portion size with a decent salad selection. This is one place that still serves garlic bread rather than... More

Our neighborhood Italian restaurant, it has been here for years, family owned, everything is excellent, no chain food and service is great.

The food was very good - salad crisp and entree tasty with a Parmesan cream sauce. We did have reservations (!) which was good because many were waiting for a table. Only turn-off was that we sat in a basement room but the service was attentive.
