best tamales

I love their tamales, the green corn is the best. Its a whole in the wall, but they have been around forever and I doubt they won't go anywhere. Its a small place so, plan ahead on the weekends.

You to not want to miss some of the best Mexican food in Arizona. The service is friendly and they have the same good food that had before the closed last year because of a fire. The place is hard to get in and out of because it's location. Very worth the fighting the traffic. I love the venue built... More

We have ben coming here for years and have watched it grow. All the meats are marinated and then grilled for a distinct flavor. Specifically the pork of which there are two kinds, one in a citrus marinade, the other in a sweet and tangy sauce. The rice is excellent as are the beans, black or refried. If you like... More

I ran into this place by accident while looking for another Mexican restaurant. Well let's just say, I won't be looking for that other place anymore. Everything here was spot on. Flavor, service, presentation, and decor, all were excellent. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, mole enchiladas, and fried ice cream for dessert. Pictures are included. Don't be deterred by... My husband and I are on a quest to find the best nachos in Mesa on our weekly dates. we were disappointed when the restaurant in the lead, Rancho de Tia Rosa, had a fire and closed. This week we drove around till we found Rosa's Mexican Grill. We were not terribly excited about going in. The shopping plaza where... More

After the outstanding reviews, we decided to visit. Here is what we observed: 1. Slow service 2. Flat and tasteless salsa 3. Beef in enchiladas and burritos was like beef jerky 4. Chips were not warm 5. Tortilla required surgical blade to cut 6. Expensive Mexican for the quality We will not return.

You can tell walking in that Rosa's has been around a while in a market that is heavy on Mexican restaurants. I was with a family group of 7. Everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes and drinks. I had the pork flying saucer and it was more than I could eat and very tasty.

If you are seeking an authentic Mexican food experience, this is the place for you. We were promptly seated, orders taken and food served. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food although one Midwestern visitor expected ground rather than the traditional shredded Mexican style for beef. The green corn tamale was as close to perfection as I have ever tasted... More
