We normally try to avoid fast food restaurants and large chains on vacation. Today however we were looking to get something quick and easy, as we were shopping. This was our first visit to Rubios and I must admit it was pretty damn good. The grilled Mahi Mahi tacos and the chicken salad were spot on for flavour, heat and... More

We have eaten here several times when visiting Mesa. It is always excellent. We like the variety of fish tacos and the salsas are great. The best thing about the place is how the staff actually seems happy to wait on you and to care about how you like your food. The place is clean and obviously well managed.

We hadn't ever been to a Rubio's so we didn't have very high expectations for a small fast food mexican restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. While the decor could have been improved, the food was good, prices were great and the place was clean. We will be back.

You see the food prepared fresh to-order, rather than cooked ahead. The place is clean and in good shape at all times. You get your order quickly, but it doesn't have that "fast food" thing about it. The staff is friendly and the managers regularly walk through the dinning room checking to be sure customers are satisfied in every way.... More
