Having more than 35 years of experience, La Querencia is one of the main traditional restaurants in Posadas. It is located in the city centre in a building that is part of the historic district. La Querencia stands out not only for its familiar environment, but also for its good customer service and for the use of _rst quality ingredients. Our specialty is the grilled cuisine, mainly the "Galeto".

Nice local restaurant, with locals and tourists

If you enter this place and you are early around 20:30 it is empty and it looks so big. But during your diner this place get really busy. It is nice to see the waiters serving. Food is ok but the main attraction is the place.

In a country with such delicious steaks, who would have though a chicken dish would be such a highlight... A little light on for English, but who cares, the waiter's poor English, my poor Spanish, a few hand signals and pointing, and the Galeto was ordered.. so succulent and delicious, and in a town with not many options, do yourself... Before going to Posadas I was told that I should try the "Galeto" at La Querencia restaurant. Well, I did. Galeto is chicken cut in squares, stuffed with bacon and red pepper, and cooked like a brochette: on a spike over the fire, with tomato pieces between the chicken squares and grated parmesan cheese. Indeed a delight!

La Querencia is a classic! Don't miss the opportunity to eat at this restaurant while visiting Posadas. Staff are very friendly and the place is always packed. Their galleto (chicken) is the best I've tried. Highly recommended!!

If you find yourself in the center of Posadas in 90 degree heat and 90% humidity and you just need to chill, step into La Querencia - just off Plaza Nueve de Julio. You will be treated to a cool blast of air and a wait staff that will take care of you for as long as you care to... More

I had dinner at this restaurant and although the service was very good, my steak was rather average.

I went there after CAVAS was crowded. Food was OK, but it was not excellent. I must admit I ate fish only, probably you can have a better meal if you ask for red meat.

I was at Posadas in October 2011 and have a dinner at this very traditional restaurant. Set at the old building of "Societa Italiana di Mutuo Soccorso" (Italian Society of Mutual Aid) is a perfect place to embrace the local and international taste of Argentinean food.

Local people told me that they take their lunch here every day. I believe that there are only a few restaurants having such kind of variety and quality of food and service in all of South America. You will take lunch or dine in a kind of traditional environment but you will love it. It start with the typical appetizing... More

It has a good environment, although it is a little old. One of the attractives are the waiters that have been serving there for many years already.
