My husband and I initially ate at Azafran upon the recommendation of our guide. It was so good, that we broke the "rule" of always trying a new restaurant, and we went back again the next day. It's easy to eat well in Argentina, but the menu at Azafran was different than the offerings at a typical Argentinian parilla and... More

Great place with amazing service. The wines are located in front, you can choose it from the high variety. The food was great and served as expected.

My wife and I had the opportunity to dine at Azafran, thanks to our wine tour company (Uncorking Argentina), which highly recommended the restaurant. We loved our meal! Especially the meat!!! We cant wait to enjoy another meal made by the Chef!

This is a lovely place, with friendly service, nice atmosphere, and creative menu. I feel bad giving it a less than good review, as it was highly recommended and I was only here once, but my meal was just off this night - I had a chicken breast, caked in a thick panko shell and half-cooked. Poultry can be tricky,... More

This restaurant will always be a good choice for recommendations or going with friends. The service I have experienced is always friendly and professional - for Mendoza city it's actually the place with the best service. The food and menu options are good but their key competence is the wine cellar and the sommelier who can show you some new... More

I went to Azafran for a birthday lunch. They waiter heard it was my birthday and offered any dessert on the menu, however, the dessert on the fixed menu sounded so good we kept that one. The food for the fixed menu was extremely delicious, perhaps the best empanadas I ever had, and I lived in Argentina for six months.... More

We visited Azafran twice during our stay in Mendoza, once for dinner and once for lunch. We arrived very late and hungry in Mendoza and our hotel receptionist recommended Azafran. We were not disappointed! We started with empanadas for entree and for dinner I had the chicken and my husband had the fish. We both really enjoyed the empanadas and... More

We had dinner at aZafran our first night in Mendoza. An easy walk from our hotel, we ate at a table on the street and enjoyed the traditional parrilla dinner. Great wine selections--both red and white. The dinner was excellent with good service. There were tables in side beside a large wine room. They also have some items on sale... More

We were drawn to this restaurant because it was in the neighborhood of our hotel, written up in Lonely Planet and also mentioned by some people we met at dinner the night before. It does have a rustic-chic decor and we were initially quite pleased, but as the evening progressed, our initial good vibes waned. The meal started out with... More

We popped in for lunch & had a most wonderful meal. Breads were warm & fresh. We had a pork roast lunch with mashed potatoes & salad in a lovely presentation. The roast was fork tender (a relief after all those parrilladas), the appetizer of beet & watercress was so inventive and good tasting. Little side table for our wine... More
