So glad that we did this.

Ituzaingo was a really nice experience. We had a ceviche as an appetizer, empanadas as the first course, a salad afterwards, a selection between white salmon, vegetable lasagna and a filet mignon as a maincourse, and a (i think) orange pancakes with a dulce de leche creme on top of a brownie. First... read more

My partner orderd the steak ,that was very good, I orderd the withe salmon, that was very dry and lacked seasoning. The ambiance was very nice. Nice... More

We arrived for a "cocktail style" beginning a bit more crowded than I expected. Seated for dinner inside, we had 3 choices, steak, lasagna, and white Salmon. The steak was enjoyed, lasagna was small and not your typical, white salmon was bad I needed a knife to cut it. Must have been frozen previously. After main course we waited to... More

Closed door restaurants are not common in the states, thus we were excited to try out something new after reading the reviews. There is a metal ring on an unassuming door that you see from the street. Pull the ring and you hear chimes inside. The door is opened by your gracious host and doorway is a collection of wines... My wife and I learned of Ituzaingo from the concierge at our hotel (Park Hyatt Mendoza) and dined here on Christmas night. We enjoyed the closed restaurant setup, which enables you to get to know your host and other guests in a casual setting (think drinks and appetizers in a friend’s home) before being seated separately for dinner. All of... More

The food and atmosphere was very good, and the owner and his staff were top notch. The cab driver didn't know that the address was a restaurant (or a closed door restaurant to be exact), and the neighborhood is a bit rough, but we had no problems. GO!

This was our second closed door restaurant, and this place is unfortunately a victim of high expectations placed by being the number 1 choice in Mendoza. The Ambiance - Absolutely fantastic. The best of the three closed options we visited. The inside is charming and the outside garden is perfect. They allow you to just wander around in the house... More

Visited last night, and had a lovely time. The host & staff were lovely as was the house. Met very nice & interesting people, all of whom spoke English (a huge plus for me ) however they were well educated people from far & wide. There was a choice of wine and main course - both delicious. I'm not big... More

After learning about the "closed" restaurant scene in Buenos Aires, then discovering several "closed" restaurants in Mendoza I decided to surprise my husband and our traveling companions with a booking at Ituzango. All three were most suspicious when the text pulled up outside the only lights above the door of any house in the street, remove ring to pull the... More

Wonderful food and a gracious host, who made every attempt to make my husband and me feel welcome, even with our base knowledge of Spanish. We were greeted with a cocktail and welcomed to our host's home. A slight while later, we were encouraged to choose a table in the garden. Given other description, we were slightly surprised to be...
