A local tip

We got in the doors just on time. We just finished our dinner and a waiting list about 20 people long has formed. A favourite among the locals (the restaurant tip came from the Esso guy up the street) this low key fish restaurant dishes up massive portions for your money. If You are from Europe... read more

This place superseded expectations; prompt and efficient service, tasty arrival dip and bread, fantastic selection of reasonably priced wines (we had a lovely Chablis for 62), excellent Rabas (calamari), fantastic waiter who made sure we didn't order to much (there are half options for most dishes which were more than enough for the two of us)... Simple and perfect seafood... More

This place is the place to go for seafood. It gets pretty busy so booking is probably wise. Went there with about 40 people and had a blast

Definitely the best fried squids I ever had (rabas), crispy outside, soft inside and not at all greasy. Then we shared a huge chupin, all with a bottle of white Argentinian wine. We spent around 25 USD for three adults. Great value for the money, attentive staff. As others said, don't be fooled by the simple appearance of the place... More

We went there based on Tripadvisor opinions, but our first impression was that something could be wrong: it seemed quite simple for being the second best restaurant in Mar del Plata. This, plus the fact that the painting of a wall at the back of the restaurant was in bad conditions (probably to a heavy rain), led us to conclude... More

I went only ones with family. Was not on season and we didn't have a problem to find a table. Very friendly and the food was delicious. Conversation with people on other tables asking what we were eating and commenting about their dishes. I loved. I'll be back to Argentina in two weeks with my son and I'll take him... More

Popular neighbourhood restaurant, with the usual very long menu, just like other MDP restaurants. Good-sized portions of seafood, friendly and welcoming service, but nothing outstanding.

Even though you have to wait an hour on the street, it is worth waiting for. This restaurant is incredible the atmosphere is friendly, there is a lot of talking at the tables and you can see everybody is happy. If you are with the whole family or on a date, this restaurant is really nice. We got our first... More

It has a family atmosphere, and many large parties, so it is better to go early to get a table. The seafood is always first quality. The "merluza a la portuguesa" is so good, you even want to enjoy up to the last drop of the sauce, and the serving size is so big that two persons could have two... More

OK, it doesn't look promising from outside, and maybe not in the best part of town. But once you get in, you are warmly welcomed, and have a great time. Food is plentiful and delicious. Wine list is good and inexpensive, as is the menu. Loved the atmosphere, including the locals trying to help us with our pitiful Spanish. Would... More
