Lovely Italian food

Lovely Italian food. Nice wine. Reasonable prices. Lovely staff. You might want to make a reservation, but we didn't need one midweek during Winter. In a great location too.

Everything about this restaurant was amazing; the wine, the food, the service. The pear rocket salad, and 4 cheese gnocchi was dangerously good!! The 3 of us that came all rate our meals as A+++. Highly recommend!

I have visited this restaurant on each of my 15+ trips to Buenos Aires. it is the BEST italian food I have found in the city. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, the prices are good, and the food is delicious. Its a great spot to have lunch when visiting San Telmo market.

Handmade, hand-filled raviolis are excellent! The risotto with mushrooms and truffles was incredible. The wine selection excellent. Everything about this restaurant is fantastic. It is in the San Telmo area which is so bohemian and funky. Fabulous old building and ambiance is what one looks for in a Buenos Aires restaurant!

You can watch the bakers making all pastas from scratch. Excellent little restaurant across from the square in San Telmo, upstairs. Very beautiful and clean with very good service. Best raviolis you will find at medium cost!

Best Italian encountered in Argentina during a three month trip. Malfatti delicious, pastas also. Nice wine list, good wait staff, room comfortable inside and out. Try it. I will again.

a local recommended this restaurant and he wasn't far off the mark. probably the best meal we've had in BA. I had a squid ink ravioli and other half had a steak. faultless! service impeccable, we had a table out on the balcony looking out at the goings-on of the weekend san telmo market. could not have asked for a... My companion immediately got sic and vomited from his shellfish risotto, we complained, the owner attended and insulted us. By paying, we refused to pay for my companions dish, and the owner called the police. We ended up paying, but with regret.

Located in the pretty square of San Telmo this restaurant is excellent for pastas. The risotto was fantastic. We were a big group with children and adults and service was very attentive. Mind the steep stairs!

Staying in San Telmo

Neighborhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
