Ok food, but a little pricey for BsAs

We stopped for a late lunch and sat outside. Service was nicely paced and friendly. The food was ok, but really nothing special, and the wine was above average in cost. I had a chicken sandwich that had good flavor (and actual spice for once, which the waiter warned me about), but the chicken... read more

We stopped in for lunch a couple of days ago, thinking this looked like a nice outdoor cafe. I had a Lomo Tiquila sandwich (beef tenderloin with cheese and jalapenos) and my wife had a chicken catchcatori (sp?). The beef was tender and the jalapenos added a nice kick. In both cases though, the meal was decent but nothing special.... More

Lovely location on the corner of Plaza Viejo Palermo. You can sit and people watch whilst enjoying good food and drink. Reasonably priced and very friendly staff.

We had lunch at Janio as it was in the area were were exploring. While there was nothing wrong with it, there was nothing special either. The kind of meal you find hard to remember the day after you've had it.

We just had a sharing platter and the price was fantastic and the food was great. Good seating in and outdoor and an extensive enough list for food and red wine (very difficult to get a white wine though!). We also had breakfast here, again well priced and the food was good. Ideal for food and drinks. Not sure if... More

Really good quality food, everything is good but I remember the vegetarian platter being very generous and enjoyable. If you are in the area, give it a try. Also the bread they serve before food is amazing! (it's something I really value from restaurants also)

Terrible food! Salad was bland, burger looked and tasted awful. Five weeks in SA and this is by a long shot the most disappointing!

We got there to watch UEFA champions Final, by the lunch time, good environment and good beer... However the waiters were bot on the mood... The pasta is really nice, but there was no bread as courtesy, or anything as usual in Argentina... For sure the waiter forgot... For a quick stop for lunch, I recommend, but do not expect... More

Pleasant place to stop for a drink if you have 15' to spare to catch the waiter's attention. And you won't get a wine list either. What you will get, though, is a view of young cockroaches travelling from the kitchen into the dining room @ their leisure!

If you're looking for a restaurant in the Palermo neighborhood, I recommend Janio. It is located on a quiet corner with a decent amount of outside seating. I absolutely loved the quinoa salad so please give it a try. Enjoy your dinner.

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
