It was established in 2002 with a clear concept of Parrilla-Cantina, the best home cooking from Buenos Aires with a great taste. There was not another place with such proposal. The gratitude of the people was evident and definitive. It is de kind of reliable restaurant. It never fails, a real solution when is time to choose a good place to eat out. It is a good, modern, warm and lovely environment, open to the public, wide spectrum. It is a familiar place, for medium or big friend tables, couples and lonely clients. The cutlery is constantly rotating thanks to an instructed and oiled service. La Dorita announces. People call more people. They already know what they are going to look for, the best meat, made with great care. It is presented stylishly and without pretentious, the dishes of red-hot iron leaned on planks, land over the table offering a warm moment, whetting your appetite. The portions are abundant. The detail of the color is the typical penguins and a bottle where the wine comes from wineries of first quality, served from barrels in full view of everyone. The home-made desserts are the perfect close of the service, dynamic and kind. La Dorita offers a good relation between quality-price and that is how, the restaurant gaing fidelity with the reliable clients. These characteristics become this restaurant into a place where you can go daily. The client is satisfied. La Dorita is the best option to eat well every day.

Good Local Parrilla

If you are looking for a more local experience, with less tourists than the usual Don Julio or la Cabrera, and still get a good service try La dorita. House wine is cheap and not that bad, but try it first feel free to send it back if its corked.

Food in this restaurant is excellent, but service is variable--sometimes great, sometimes so-so. It is easy to find at the corner of Maure and Humboldt. The interior is very stylish in a traditional bistrot style. Beef is the mainstay of this, and many other Buenos Aires restaurants. Their steak is fabulous. I had ribeye both times. At lunch there is... More

Brilliant bife de chorizo with chimichurri and salsa criolla. Only negatives here are that the loos are not great and they add a ARS 40 table surcharge which is a bit unnecessary as 80% of the restaurant was empty when I arrived!

Just returned to our ap't after enjoying a smashing 5 course lunch at the La Dorita on Humboldt and Costa Rica. We ALWAYS go to this location, even though there are several others in the city.......2 being closer to our "digs" than this one. While the service is SLOW......even tho the wait staff is constantly "on the move".....we didn't care... More

Ate here with three hungry friends and ordered some sort of menu for four persons, including red wine and sparkling water. The entradas were served on a pan, with grilled cheese, ham, salad and plum tomatos together with a chorizo hot dog, it was a truly culinary experience and a must, if you are to eat here. The main course... More

Food was absolutely great yet the service not so amazing... It looks like they are still learning or perhaps training their staff. We did not care as we and a lot of time and the food was absolutely delicious! Try their empanadas and dulce de leche ice cream!!!:)

I was traveling on a somewhat limited budget (esp being solo with my wife unfortunately at home), and I read about the weekday lunchtime "menu el dia" (= executive lunch special). And it was indeed. My chorizo, salad, steak (chorizo=sirloin) - cooked rare (at least mostly, as I asked), flan an copa de vino, were all very fine and quite... More

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
