Good food and helpful waitstaff

We discovered Chiquilin because it was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel (Rooney's Boutique Hotel) and they had recommended it. We were actually headed somewhere else and opted for this because it was closer. We were very glad we did! True steak house atmosphere, nice decor but not... read more

Of course this is a place to eat great argentinian meat. But I am a vegetarian and don´t like to force people to my my tastes. So I try to adapt y want to visit local places. Argentinian friends invited us and they ate "bife de chorizo" a special cut of meat very fovoured by locals. My husband had grilled... More

In typical Argentinian style the service was poor, we had the grumpy waiter once again. We had kebabs & pasta, did not blow us away. The waiter forgot our salad which was fine as it was too much food. You can eat better and cheaper at parilla pana (not far away). We paid around $90USD, won't be back there again.

This is an old school parilla that is popular with locals as well as tourists. Most customers were in their 50's and up and it was relatively full for a Friday night. Our experience could have been a very decent one were it not for our waiter who kep trying to guilt trip us into ordering more at every turn...... More

Having walked a good 3km from our hotel specifically to come to this restaurant, we were hungry and expectant. We weren't disappointed. The decor was pristine, the ambience said 'you are going to have great steak'. Correct. Our friendly waiter steered us away from ordering too much food and our mixed grill with sirloin on the side was cooked really... More

I have been here for lunch with the office staff while visiting our Office in BA. The restaurant is old style, old waiters and nice oldish classical atmosphere. The food was good, nothing out of this world, but anyhow very good. Definitely I would recommend this place to visit, but once is enough, there are plenty other restaurant to try... More

Our hotel (Rooney's) recommended this as a good place for Argentinian beef. They were right!! We got there a bit early by Buenos Aires standards but got to see the 'locals' come in and enjoy the restaurant. The service was first class - we said that we had no Spanish right away and they made sure that we had an... More

We ate here on our first night in BA, at the recommendation of the hotel. The service was very good, the steak was great and the Chimichurri was amazing. A pleasant experience despite the fact that the restaurant caters to a lot of tourists.

Have a NY steak, a glass of Malbec. After this not other food will satisfy you. Very traditional place in Argentina. Share portions, beef is grass fed. Salads are huge. Pay cash.
