Great Find for a Change from Steak in BA

This wee restaurant has wonderful service, great food and a decidedly different character from most places in BA. On a weeknight it was the only restaurant with more than a couple of tables occupied, so we figured it had to be good. It certainly was!!! We came back twice more, could not get in on a... read more

This was a highlight of our visit, apart from the beef in BA which is to die for, we found the rest of the food in restaurants disappointing. But this place was above everything we had tried, everything had a lot of taste, and they have really good wines and beers. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Funky and fun, one of our favorite lunch bars in BA. Situated just down Calle San Martin from the Galerias Pacifico mall and Calle Florida, Dada Bistro is great bar to pop in for a beer or a glass of wine. We have had lunch there several times and always enjoyed the food and vibe. It does get crowded at... More

Small, artsy bistro feel with a very local clientele. Staff speaks some English and are extremely friendly and accommodating. Tasty foods, nice wine list, great experience overall. Highly recommended.

The reviews were good so I wanted to try it out. It's overrated in terms of both the quality of food and the price of food. I got guacamole and the nachos were all broken up and the guac was so little. We also ordered arugula salad with shrimps and the arugula was not fresh or healthy looking at all.... More

Beer & Salad US23.00. Price OK. Very satisfactory. Nothing spectacular, just good. No photos’. Won't go again as there are so many other better places nearby.

We've eaten here for almost ten years, and it's still great. This Retiro neighborhood restaurant is affordable, friendly and serves consistently great food. After flying all night, we needed lunch and knew where to go. We split a Caesar salad, the Dada Lomo and a bottle of wine. Honestly, the au gratin potatoes were a little over cooked, as if... More

Had lunch twice there during a business trip and both meals were very good. The restaurant has a nice decoration and atmosphere, nothing fancy, but fun. The staff could be nicer but yet, it was not bad.

This place is a real find in BA. It's a small place with just a few tables plus a bar, and draws mostly a local crowd of young bohemians. Service is friendly. The food is terrific, and reasonably priced. You can't go wrong with the Lomo Dada.

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
