Lunch was good; dinner was perfect

We've eaten here for almost ten years, and it's still great. This Retiro neighborhood restaurant is affordable, friendly and serves consistently great food. After flying all night, we needed lunch and knew where to go. We split a Caesar salad, the Dada Lomo and a bottle of wine... read more

Beer & Salad US23.00. Price OK. Very satisfactory. Nothing spectacular, just good. No photos’. Won't go again as there are so many other better places nearby.

We've eaten here for almost ten years, and it's still great. This Retiro neighborhood restaurant is affordable, friendly and serves consistently great food. After flying all night, we needed lunch and knew where to go. We split a Caesar salad, the Dada Lomo and a bottle of wine. Honestly, the au gratin potatoes were a little over cooked, as if... More

Had lunch twice there during a business trip and both meals were very good. The restaurant has a nice decoration and atmosphere, nothing fancy, but fun. The staff could be nicer but yet, it was not bad.

Went here last night based on the reviews on trip advisor, ordered the guacamole, shrimp salad, oje bife and lomo dada. Food was good but the oje bife was over cooked ordered medium rare and got medium well.

This place is a real find in BA. It's a small place with just a few tables plus a bar, and draws mostly a local crowd of young bohemians. Service is friendly. The food is terrific, and reasonably priced. You can't go wrong with the Lomo Dada.

I was in Buenos Aires for just one night, and chose to eat my first Argentinian meat in a long time on Dada. I ordered the Ojo de Bife and a glass of red wine. The Ojo was served on fried, crispy potatoes, and on top there was a simple spinach and tomato salsa. The steak was crazy tender, juicy... More

We walked into this small place after reading a good review not knowing what to expect since we had been in Buenos Aires one day. The mood is very casual and fun with a prominent bar in the back. At first, looking at stuff on the walls, I thought that maybe we had walked into a trendy, tourist place. But,... More

We chose Dadas to see the new year in based on a local's recommendation. The total experience was fantastic. Great food. Bottomless drinks. Attentive staff. Brilliant atmosphere. Once most of the food was done we all danced to the traditional tunes, there wasn't a serious face in the building. Would definitely go back for just a regular dinner because of... More

This was a small funky "French" like cafe the way it use to be. They take care in the food, quality, choices. No giant steaks that you. Salmon was wonderful. The beef stir fry very good. Not open Sunday

We walked past this place on the way to a nearby restaurant - thought it looked interesting and changed our minds & went in. Got a table straight away (which was lucky, as it's small and seems very popular!). Waitress was really helpful with the menu & our limited Spanish.. went for a couple of specials from the board -... Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
