Great Dinner!

My co-worker picked this restaurant out. They start serving dinner before seven, which is great for an American. The restaurant quiet and great for conversation. Went for business dinner with 3 friends, Tuesday night. Table upstairs by the window, ready and waiting. Excellent waiter. Order 2 bottles of local top Caberner Sauvignon at room temperature. 4 filet mignon, 3 medium, one -mine - medium rare. 3 with different salads, one - mine - with french fries. Not as healthy, but tastier!. 2 shared a Milk... More

Dined here after a successful presentation to celebrate. 10 of us dined in a family style and I can't recall all the different dishes. Sausage, sirloin, goat, ribs. Every thing that came to the table was wonderful. We except maybe the goat, this was a first for my and I found it salty and tough like jerky. I think this... More

This was our only trip to a steak house during our five day trip to Buenos Aires. Our steaks were average. I have to say I didn’t have the 'wow' feeling that I was hoping for. Portions are large - you do not need a starter. It is a really busy restaurant lacking in any real intimacy. Waiters are very... More

The service is excellent and the steaks were very good and cooked as ordered. The wine list is varied with many choices at a fair price.

We went here on our penultimate night in BA (our last meal of the trip will be in Fervor, just up the road) and we felt that it was a good meal all round. The portions are very large, my partner had melon and ham to start and I had the avocado. My first choice of pork ribs was not... More

This restaurant offers very good meat. In my opinion it is one of the best restaurants to eat a nice steak in Buenos Aires.

We were recommend this restaurant by our rep and he was right to recommend it. It was our first night in BA so we dined early and got a table very easily, most Argentinians don't eat till after 9pm. The service was fantastic, lots of well turned out staff and all very helpful. We had a fantastic bottle of melbac... More

Like most upscale, Argentinian steak houses, the steak here was very good, and unlike some, a medium steak came pink in the middle rather than raw. So they certainly know how to cook them. Having said that, overall it was down the list of restaurants we visited during the week. Fervor, Le Sud, and Elena, all in the same area... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
