Very good parilla with outstanding sides

Had dinner here a week or so ago. It was very good. The wait staff is amazingly efficient and knowledgeable. Some have been there over 20 years. The steaks are good, although there are better places in BA for steak. The sides and salads are very good. I appreciate that they offer a lemon... read more

We felt welcomed and enjoyed our experience at El Mirisol. It was recommended by friends who warned about the huge portions. We shared a steak and side of grilled vegetables and were unable to finish it all. The steak was very good and our waiter accommodating as he allowed us to enjoy our wine for a time while we visited... More

We only wanted a light lunch after arriving from our international flight. The waiter recommended a lovely Malbec, we started by sharing a large salad and some different empanadas. The service is friendly and the food good. I would go back for dinner.

My friend enjoyed the House Specialty which was pork and not, surprisingly, beef. My 'Lomo' was nicely seasoned and prepared plus the 'green potatoes' are a must try. Can be a little noisy outside on a warm summer's eve but not distractingly so. Would Recommend

Good food, good staff but not cheaper. If you arrive late in BsAs and stay near Retiro or Recoleta, here is one of fewer options in this area(according the Sheraton Concierge). They have good options of wine. They accept almost all Credit Cards(for sure VISA and MASTERCARD).

Had a business lunch which was great. Food was good but not brilliant. Worth the visit but there are better quality steakhouses close by.

Recommended to us by the concierge when we turned up at about 7.30 the restaurant was able to accommodate us without a booking but during the evening filled up so would suggest booking especially if you want to eat later in the evening. Empanadas were superb and the steak was cooked to perfection. We ordered too many side dishes which... More

El Mirasol is a restaurant chain with five adresses in Buenos Aires and founded in 1967. I visited the one located in Revoca/Posada streeed and my rating is the best possible. Is there better restaurants in Buenos Aires? Probably yes. But El Mirasol offer very good food, service and place/confort, ahead of the price charged. I don´t mean it is... More

I went to both El Mirasol de la Recova and El Mirasol del Puerto. Both time the Ojo de Bife was just perfect! Loved it! The location at Puerto Madero of course has a nicer terrace overlooking the water. Can't go wrong with El Mirasol!

This was a very busy restaurant - popular with tourists and with good reason. The service was excellent (although a little slow at the start). Our waiter was Ruben, who looked after us very well with good suggestions on menu choices and wine. The quality of the meat was excellent, and the wine was delicious. The salad was a little... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
