Amazing meat and dessert!

I absolutely loved this restaurant. They have a huge selection of wine so it is not easy to choose. But never fear, all choices are great! I loved the meat here as well as their bread pudding dessert with dulce de leche. What else can a girl ask for? If in Buenos Aires, I highly recommend this... read more

This restaurant was recommended by 2 Argentine friends as being fantastic. Personally, I thought it was good but not great - probably worth a 3.5 out of 5. I am lucky enough to have dined at some great restaurants so maybe I am spoilt. We had booked a table for 2 and ended up at a table for 6 -... More

This is one of the best places to have the famous Argentinean BBQ. The place is located in a wonderful almost downtown area near to the luxury brand shopping mall "Patio Bullrich" and next to the Four Seasons Hotel. The neighberhood is called "Recoleta" and that place in particular Argentineans call it "la zona de Alvear" that would be "Alvear... More

Compared to most restaurants in BA this is hard to beat. I guess there are better ones but I'm sure they'd be more expensive. Despite what some reviews say this is NOT Expensive, 3 courses, wine and coffee for 3 people £70 ($100) is amazing, especially as the food is fantastic. We had some chorizo and morcilla, gorgeous, the beef... More

While the empanadas were some of the best we had, the rest of the food was just good. Nothing to write home to mom about. the lomo was a little overcooked and lacked in seasoning, but the sides were excellent. We definitely got a look when we walked in without a reservation though...

When in Buenos Aires we usually stay in the Recoleta. This restaurant has been the most consisted and reasonably priced. Food has been very good and service excellent. Have had Tito the waiter many times and find him charming and efficient. Favorites are the parrilla sweet breads, small pork ribs, fries, lomo, and a salad of tomato, lettuce and palm hearts.... Perfectly prepared meal. Appetizers, salads and entrees were simple but flawless. Could not think of anything to add to improve the experience.

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
