At last, some heat and spice

We've been in Buenos Aires for 3 months now and generally we've been pretty impressed with the range and quality of the food. However we were beginning to crave something genuinely spicy. At last we found it at Sudestada. Not scary, blow your head off spicy but with enough chilli heat to give that... read more

This restaurant was recommended by Lonely Planet, but the guide didn’t prepare us for how terrific the food would be! The pork-shrimp dumplings and vegetarian fried rice were better than we’ve had anywhere--and sharing one appetizer and one entrée was more than enough for two. The food is not traditional for any one country of Asia; the chef brings some... More

I've had a craving for Pad thai or Southeast Asian food for a long time! Moreover, I had one friend who never had Southeast asian food before. In a web surfing for a while, I found Sudestada. First, the Atmosphere was nice. I guessed it could be a Romantic place for a dinner time. However, I visited and had a... More

This is about as pan asian as you can get. Not normally a huge fan of pick and mix cooking but on the whole they pull it off. There is real skill here - and it is really clear in a lot of the accompaniments. Three of our dishes had a salad and dipping sauce - each was different and... More

Very rich and traditional Asian cuisine is served here . The taste is incredibly delicious. Starter was a surprise where you will need to use your hand to add ingredients which gives you multiple taste. Main course is simply irresistible . You will need to be there to experience . Book yourself early and the service is good.

I was recommended this restaurant by some Porteño friends. And I must say, this is good. Very good. Nice staff. With a style. Very good food. But you must be ready for spicy food.

We went there for a change of the famous PPP (parillas, pastas, pizzas) of Buenos Aires and because of the high ratings of this place. To be honest we had a very pleasant dinner but really nothing justifying the high praises the Sudestada seems to be used to. The menu is rather short and offers a variety of asian dishes.... More

Our first approach to Vietnamese food and it was great. The place itself may not seem as fancy as other restaurants in the palermo hollywood area but the food and the attention worth the visit. The staff is very friendly and orient you if it's the first time trying Vietnamese. My wife became instant fan of Vietnamese food after this.... More

Like other reviewers, we dined here because we wanted a break from BA's ubiquitous steak, potatoes and pasta. The restaurant is housed in a trendy space, the menu is varied, the food is tasty, the spiciness is robust and the service is good.

Something different in Buenos Aires. When you get tired of the local flavors of the Empanada, steak, pasta and pizza. Sudestada is a good option. I recommend sharing dishes since the main courses are big. No music at the place, which is not bad, everyone can hear each other easily. Not to many tables and they don't take reservations.

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
