This was a meal we won't soon forget. Despite some of the grousing I've read from others about the wait, we were seated promptly and courteously upstairs in a cozy corner. I ordered the Rotolo alla Bolognese which was tasty beyond belief and we also ordered the the risotto of the day (seafood) and I've never had any better. Our... More

Our first night in BA our hotel recommended this restaurant. They made reservations for us. The entire meal was so wonderful. We have learned in South America the portions are so big that sharing (compartir in español) was the way to go. We shared a wonderful ensalada with proscuitto and also a rotelo, their specialty de la casa. It was... More

We came here at the recommendation of our hotel on our first night in BA. Reservations are needed. We had a very pleasant meal and were served by attentive staff who made sure that we had everything that we required. It was obvious that many of the other customers were regulars who were welcomed as friends as they arrived. The... More

This restaurant on the waterfront is an excellent choice for a delicious dinner of Italian food. We chose to eat outside, along the boardwalk, with a view of the river and passersby. The food was excellent; the service just as good, and the price was quite reasonable.

We loved dining at Sottovoce. Our table was outside with a view of the dock which was very romantic. The spaghetti neri was stunning and we let the waiter choose our wines as we were not familiar with Argentine wines. It was a very memorable evening.

We have made Sottovoce a part of every trip we make to Argentina. I have reviewed this restaurant before but it is worth saying that this is truly a great and fun grown up non touristy Porteno (Buenos Aires upper class) place to go. Make a reservation and don't be insulted when you are standing crowded in a corner waiting... More

Very disappointing experience. We waited at least 40 minutes for our starters and had to ask the waiter twice where the starters were. The pasta was good, but the tenderloin in Madeira wine sauce was way over cooked. Service was poor at best.

A short wait even with a reservation. A complimentary glass of bubbly took away the sting. The Rotolo alla Bologuese was superb. When you need a break from beef, this is the .place.

Excellent food, and fun atmosphere. Only downfall is small tables and waiters kept bumping into us. Will definitely return as the food itself was superb.
