Old world style Italian dining.

food was excellent and so is the atmosphere but it is very expensive. I had a dish of risotto and spinach with the cover charge and a small bottle of spring water the bill was 300 or about 30 EUROS which I found quite pricy. Service was very good , Like I said the risotto was delicious and I did... read more

The food is not impressive, classical Argentina - Italian food prepared without much care. Quite ordinary in every way. Fallen on hard times from the 90s. No longer competes in an ascending gastronomic level of Buenos Aires. The good side: good old time Service

I honestly wasn't too impressed by Sottovoce. It wasn't bad, but I found the food lacking flavor overall. For the price, it really wasn't worth it.

If you love good pasta, this is one of the places you cant miss in Buenos Aires. We returned after a couple of years and found the same quality of delicious food.

This place is a MUST if you visit Buenos Aires , their Italian food is really good, atmosphere is great and service is good. Make sure you make a reservation if you are going for dinner it gets really crowed. Order the polenta and any pasta!

We had their anniversary menu which is an exceptional value that included a bottle of wine. Good food and a nice vibe

"Sottovoce - Recoleta"! This is the place! We got the suggestion from a relative and we went straight to this great Italian/Argentinean restaurant! We had no reservations and had no problem getting a table, as it was already by 2PM (otherwise, reservations are strongly recommended). Located at fancy Av. del Libertador, in the Recoleta region, it is easily reachable. Tradtional... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
