We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Sottovoce. Not only the well prepared food, but in particular the attentive service. Miguel, our waiter, offered us champagne when we arrived....a wonderful surprise for tired tourist. A very good start to a lovely evening. If we ever find ourselves in Buenos Aires again, we would happily return to Sottovoce. And look forward to... More

Buenos Aires is the city I grew up and Recoleta was my neighborhood and I'm so proud that we can have restaurants like Sottovoce with a fantastic Italian cuisine. Simple however incredibly well prepared dishes. Just to give an example if you love liver, don't miss the Fegato alla Veneziana (with onion sauce and polenta) and risottos are to die... More

Happened upon this restaurant while walking around Recoleta on the incredibly rainy day I arrived in Buenos Aires. It seemed to be a cozy place so I decided to eat there. I had a basic salad to start, the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The filet de lomo a la mostaza (tenderloin with mustard sauce) was the best steak I've... More

This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide who is a native of Buenos Aires. We went on a weekday and early- 8:00 P. M so we were the first ones there and service was excellent. We have travelled to Italy twice in the past three years and we thought this was the best Italian meal we ever had. Our... More

We tried to get in on a weekday without a reservation at around 9pm - and had to sit at a sidewalk table. I would have preferred to be inside as the street is fairly busy. The food is delicious either way and the restaurant was filled with locals. We were the only tourists. Everything we tried was very good... More

We had a great meal at this very attractive Italian restaurant but we couldn't help feeling neglected by our waiter, to the point where it affected our evening. Wouldn't stop me from reccommending the place though.

Sottovoce is that kind of restaurant which is consistently good. Service is impeccable most of the time, food is really good (some days better than others) and location is excellent. After many many visits, I tried basically everything on the menu so I know what they offer (living nearby also helps to keep coming back). A bit expensive but woth... More

A very nice restaurant in the Recoleta area not far from the Alvear Palace Hotel. The food was very good and the staff My main course was pasta with mushroom sauce and it was delicious.

For the past several days we had eaten great Argentinian steaks so this night we wanted to have an Italian restaurant and our Alvear Palace Hotel concierge recommended the highly popular Sottovoce - just two blocks away from the hotel. Our great expectations were crushed as soon as we arrived. First; we arrived in time but had to wait for... More
