Had high hopes for this restaurant as it came highly recommended by more than one source. Unfortunately, the steaks were gristly and the huge portions were overwhelming (despite warnings!) Many little side dishes kept arriving in colourful ramekins which we duly tasted (really liked some but not others). They stock red wines galore, but when I requested a Sauvignon -... More

The restaurant is in Palermo about 10/15 mins in a taxi from Recoleta and the food is fabulous and very good value for money. You can see why it's made the top 50 restaurants the last 2 years. Whilst waiting for your food which is taken by very friendly & helpful staff take a look and maybe a second at... More

If you came to Buenos Aires for the meat, skip this place. We tried the discount happy hour at 7pm and felt second class instantly. Service was slow and unattantive. Main plates arrived 15 minutes apart and still before the side orders and the wine. Side orders are heavily mayonnaise based and taste like bad convenience food. I ordered the... More

Excellent asado and really nice area. The ojo de bife and the chorizo are amazing. The kobeh meat is not worth the price.

Turned up without a reservation just before Christmas. Table on the pavement watching the world go by. Service excellent and good wine list. But that steak - just amazing. Perfectly cooked, choice of sizes, just perfect. We travelled in Argentina and Uruguay for almost 5 weeks and this was without doubt the best steak I had.

If your on Argentine time go here for lunch at 7pm so you don't have to wait for a table. They have an unadvertised happy hour where the bill is 40% off, but only if you order and eat quick. Ask for the check before 8pm to receive the discount and get whatever you cannot finish to go. The atmosphere... More

We arrived without a reservation and were greeted at the door by a lovely looking lady at a lectern who took our names and advised us that we had a 20 minute wait, if we wanted a table. Ok we thought that was acceptable. There are tables along the kerb outside the restaurant, and while you wait you are presented... More

I was in Buenos Aires in Jan 2015 and we tried several steak restuarants and this truly was the best. I see some other negative reviews and wonder if they are referring to the La Cabrera express which is located nearby. This place is amazing - be sure to call ahead a few days for a reservation.

The food at La Cabrera is very good. The restaurant has won many awards and as such is heavily booked each day and night mainly with tourists. Wasn't the best steak I had in Argentina, but was good. Kobe Beef is also available in case you're keen to try. Nice waiters trying to deal with all the tourist requests!
