Having spent a fantastic 5 days in Buenos Aires we thought we would finish off our week with a trip to the much lauded la cabrera. Having spent 2 hours outside on the endless waiting list which was fine and is to be expected in Buenos Aires we sat down at a nice table in la cabrera. Unfortunately the table... More

This restaurant seems to fall on many "must-eat" lists while in B.A. and for good reason. It's been around for a while, and it has that classic feel to it from the decor on down to the service. While certainly a tourist destination, the service was still top-notch. The wine list was extensive and varied - among the best we... More

After reading the reviews, seeing the signs on the restaurant door about how fabulous it is and waiting for over an hour we had very high expectations for this place. Unfortunately it did not deliver. The waiter Jonathan seemed to be annoyed and had no intrest in even talking to our table or any table for that matter. He came... More

This place was recommended by you, TA reviewers, hotel staff, and our friends that visited BA prior. The service - our server, Alex, was very good. Recommended excellent wine, and unlike in most places we've been to, was prompt and attentive as one would expect (though apparently not in this country). The food - we liked everything but the meat.... More

I am a chef by profession and I love perfectly-grilled, high-quality steaks. Cabrera's steak was of poor quality and over-cooked. If you want a great steak, don't waste your money at Cabrera. If you want nice decorations, low-quality and overpriced beef (for Argentina) and a bunch of mediocre, gimmicky sides give Cabrera a try! There are lots of other amazing... More

La Cabrera was refererred to my wife and I by the Mine Hotel in Pelermo Soho and a cab driver. Reservations are preferred but it was too late for that so hotel staff suggested Happy Hour from 7 - 8 p.m. without reservation, on a first come first served. Excellent suggestion and excellent result for our 1st Anniversary Dinner. Staff... More

This place is an institution that is not to be missed on a visit to Buenos Aires. They have one seating from 7-8pm where the menu is 40%. You will need to be there at 6.30pm to line up out the front of the restaurant (they do not except bookings and if you are not in the front part of... More

I ordered the grilled kidneys and a steak. The kidneys were a little tough and could have been better cleaned; there was a slight bitterness. The steak came with a number of sides, all of which were absolutely delicious and the steak itself was a carnivore's dream - perfectly charred, Juicy, tender and beefy. I'm drooling slightly thinking about it.

This is the hypest parrilla in Buenos Aires. Full of tourists. But the food is actually quite good and I can't say it doesn't worth the visit.

We came to La Cabrera on recommendation from reviews and tripadvisor and thought the food was 'average'. We have visited a few parilllas (steak houses) in Buenos Aires and rest of Argentina and thought ths not the best by far (unlike Don Julio a couple of minutes walk down the street). The service was apalling. We are in our 30s,... More
