I went to Sarkis on 3 different occasions: 2 birthday celebrations and a girls' night out. Every time I went, there was an hour wait to be seated, but the atmosphere on the sidewalk is quite amicable and joyful, so time went by rather quickly. We shared all the entrées in order to taste a little bit of everything and... More

After rave reviews from Lonely Planet, we thought we'd try Sarkis. We arrived at 9pm on a Friday night had to wait 45 mins outside until a table was available inside- this further cemented our hopes that this place would be excellent as it was so busy. Our starters were good generally- hommus and tabboulleh were well spiced and tasty... More

This place is so popular that if you come after 21 hrs -the usual time to have dinner in Argentina- you've to wait long outside. Another minus is the huge place: you may have the feeling you're eating in a food-factory. But...the quality of food, the freshness and good & fast service makes things good. And it's not expensive, last... More

I was really excited to eat here. After a 30 minute wait, I ordered mashed chick peas, mashed red pepper, kippe( a house dish) and stuffed peppers. The mashed chickpeas and peppers were bland but edible. The kippe was flavorless raw meat that I tried to eat a bit of in the name of experimentation. After waiting 30 more minutes... More

We expected quite a bit of this restaurant, with a top recommendation by Lonely Planet, paired with many positive Tripadvisor reviews. Infortunately, Sarkis fell way short of that. First of all, their restaurant resembles a cheap cantine and not a "real restaurant". It's really packed, huge and lacks basic interior design. We thought that if it was so full, despite... More

I've eaten here a few times and a friend calls it his favourite BA restaurant. First the good points. The starters are exceptional ... unbelievable quality at the price. The waiting staff and the the front of house organisation are also very good. Some of the dishes are unbelievably good value for money, the stuffed peppers were (imho) magnificent. However... More

Other than the hour long wait (time quoted by hostess and he was right, and well organized) and our cranky waiter, the experience was great. The food was fresh, large portions, very reasonably priced, and came out in good time. The interior is much larger than it appears from the outside and the clientele is a mixture of locals and... Wow, the second time we went here the hummus tasted better then the first time. So, that in itself was a reason to be back. But, seriously, this was a bit of a surprise. Good service, good no-nonsense food, although -indeed- it may be difficult to make a choice from the uninformative menu if you don't speak Spanish. We do,... More

We wanted to try this restaurant because of the good reviews and it seemed exciting and popular. We had to wait for about 40 minutes to get a table although we arrived early. The menu is very difficult to understand. Many of the dishes just have a name and there is no description what kind of food it is so... More

I see lots of reviews saying: "don't sit outside"... well it was 30 degrees and we did sit outside, had ourselves an excellent summernight, enjoying the taste of every single dish, sipping our wine and being served politely by a very friendly waiter. We arrived around 22h and had to wait less than 15 minutes; seeing the crowd waiting outside... More
