The best food that I have had during my 3 weeks in Argentina. Cocina Sunae was a great way to end my trip. Delicious fresh food with a quiet ambiance. The service was superb and Chef Sunae took time to meet and greet with every single person who entered her restaurant. I highly recommend that you seek out this hidden... More

This is, by far, the best restaurant in Buenos Aires. I am a foodie by nature. I have worked across the US and love to travel internationally, and therefore, I often find I am looking for the best restaurants in each place I visit during my travels. My travels through Argentina have been excellent with scenery and culture, but food....... More

During our 10 day stay in Buenos Aires we went out for dinner every night. Cocina Sunae was one of the nicest experiences in the city. Sunae is a great chef. We enjoyed the menu for the evening with incredibly fresh ingredients, bright flavors and all delicately balanced. We had the best fresh, plump shrimps ever! Franco, Sunae's husband -... More

Easily one of the best meals I've ever had. If there's one restaurant you need to frequent while you're in Buenos Aires, make it Cocina Sunae. I was fortunate they allowed me to visit by myself (frequently travel overseas solo); they normally require at least two for a reservation, and it seemed like a wonderful place for couples, friends, older... If you like Asian food and want something different go to this restaurant. The food is great. The restaurant is nice. Service is perfect too. We had nice spring rolls, some salad, a curry with shrimps and a nice dessert. You are asked if you like your food spicy or not. So food is good for everyone. The owner also... More

Loved coming to this place. Chef Sunae cooks amazing Southeast Asian cuisine and it was a welcome break from all the heavy meat and Italian dishes I had been eating. The restaurant ambiance is amazing because it is modern and cozy once you get inside and Sunae and her husband are so welcoming and warm. I really enjoyed my meal... More

The puerta cerrada experience is something you really have to live if you come to Buenos Aires! This one in particular was really great, the food was amazing, and the owners really friendly. It's not located in your typical tourist spots, but not too far by cab! Prices are a bit steep for Buenos Aires standard, but decent compared to... More

I was scared to eat here after so many bad Asian-food experiences in Buenos Aires (people, please stop making sushi like that), but Sunae is a brilliant chef and I love eating here. Compares with the authentic Southeast Asian food I've eaten in NYC. Bursts of interesting flavors, fresh ingredients, and genuine recipes. Also, the price is fair enough that... More

My daughter had eaten here before and really wanted us to give this "closed door" restaurant a try. I am so glad that we did! The food was delicious and the service impeccable. And the chef's house was welcoming and lovely, with a nice patio that would be terrific in the summer months, although not an option on a cold... More

We chose this restaurant for two reasons. 1) We wanted to try a "closed door" restaurant, basically a dinner club in a chefs home, and 2) after 5 days of steak we needed something different! We made our booking by email. The chef previously lived in New York, so spoke perfect English. The first course a salad with shrimp, was... More
