The waitress just disappeared, was seen talking to another waitress for a full 15 minutes before she was called by the kitchen because our food was had been prepared and she wasn't picking up to serve...needless to say, the meat was cold, so returned to the kitchen. When it came back it was dry. She also forgot to bring things,... More

We went to El Primo to eat good parilla. The experience turned out to be the worst so far in Argentina. The waiters were very rude which made our visit quite unpleasant. We went there around 8PM and the restaurant was almost empty. Taking that into consideration the service was extremely slow. It took ages for the waitress to come... More

Full disclosure - I am originally from Argentina, and my family lives a few blocks away from Las Canitas, so i've tried quite a few of the places over there. And among all of those, the one I return to most often when back home is El Primo. Why? Because the meat is great while not being overpriced, the portions... More

Had a table on the sidewalk. Second time eating here and as usual, did not disappoint. Service is quick and friendly, the street atmosphere is wonderful with all the walkers and passerby's.

Food was exceptional, ordered tenderloin "jugosa", half the portion with green salad was truly enough for me (I'm a small woman with a big appetite). Food was so good, I can't even describe it. Delicious! Service was ok, but the waiter was weird at times. For example gave us menus to have a look at desserts and then just came... More

It is a lovely restaurant with a good vibe, good waiters and good food. It just isn't as good as other restaurants in the area (mainly Las Cholas which is to me the best restaurant there). However, if there are massive queues outside Las Cholas this is definitely not a bad option. The place is loud and friendly and feels... More

Drawn to this place by the nice ambiance. Lots of locals eating outside. It's fun because they give you a mini grill on your table with the meat. But the steaks were just mediocre compared to what you can get for similar prices elsewhere in the city. Nice waiter.

I have been and taken friends to El Primo whilst I have been in Buenos Aires since last December. We have eaten here nearly perhaps ten times and it never fails to satisfy. The food is great quality, the bife de chorizo and bife de lomo being the winners. Yesterday (in a group of ten) I ordered asado de tire... More
