Tonight we ate a wonderful meal at Efimero Festin. It is a funky little restaurant of about 20 tables and a single waitress. The food was very creative and well prepared. They'd have some wonderful vegetable dishes such as stuffed mushrooms and eggplant. All the dishes were beautifully presented. I will not hesitate to eat there again. It is unusual... More

We visited this nice little place 29 Oct and would like to send our very best recommendations. Especially the vegetarian dishes were fantastic. Try the lasagna! We felt so very at home. Thank you!

Carolina, the owner and chef of "Efímero Festin", a cozy, family-run restaurant in Palermo SoHo reigns supreme. From the moment we entered (with a prior on-line reservation), we were greeted warmly by Raquel, the chef´s mother, who was there pinch-hitting for a staff member. After receiving a bread basket of beautiful homemade selections, including a light, onion-bread, we ordered the... More

Went here while staying in the recoleta. It is a tiny little spot with great homemade foods. We had the shrimp as an appetizer ("little crabs but not crabs") and split the gnocchi and steak dish. I have never seen so much meat on a plate. Oh and the service was amazing. Helped work with us even though our spanish... More

My boyfriend and I wandered around Palermo for about an hour before this little restaurant with a chalkboard sign out front caught our eye. The lunch special advertised was great value (compared to other establishments in the neighbourhood which were mainly bars or higher end restaurants or places closed for lunch): 75 pesos for a drink, main course & dessert... Nice, quiet and excellent food and attention.... The food is hand made by the owner of the restaurant. The menu has few options but all are excellent! Don't miss it if you want good food and nice price relation. It is convenient to make reservations.

I'm using the words of one or two other reviews here because it sums up this delighful little gem of a restaurant. My wife and I stumbled across it one night when we were on holiday in Buenos Aires last week. We liked it so much we went back again. It was closed the first time we tried so we... More

This little gem at 1411 Uriarte in Palermo Soho is a gem. Carolina is an excellent chef. The restaurant is unpretentious but you can invariably count on having a delicious meal, cooked by Carolina. I eat there 4 or 5 times a week when I go to Buenos Aires each year.

We had dinner at this wonderful and cosy restaurant. The food was truly amazing. Also excellent for vegetarians. Home cooked with care, very tasty. Among the best dinners we have had in this city. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
