We came here during a recent stop in Buenos Aires. Having looked at all the many different dining option in Buenos Aires we decided to eat at Chila and we weren't disappointed. We received a friendly welcome at the door and were guided to our table. We started off with a few cocktails with recommendations from a knowledgeable bar tender.... More

We had an absolutely outstanding dining experience tonight at Chila. Victor, was our waiter and he was amazing....thoughtful, friendly, very good English, attentive and very passionate about what he does. He was delightful. We both had the 7 course menu and everything was just incredible. We are experienced fine diner/foodies, and tonight's experience ranks right up there in the top 10... More

Quiet atmosphere, great location and a premium menu, served by knowledgable and friendly servers. A complete different spin on the traditional flavors of the Argentine cuisine. On the style of the best restaurants of North America and Europe, a menu consisting of either 3 or 7 choices from a menu that leaves nothing out. A bit expensive for the Argentine... More

First of all the reception is very poor, everything maybe only our case.... Then there are two areas in the restaurant, one behind the big windows (who cannot open, I understand why!!!) and the other behind with no visit at all. They gave us a table in the second and I asked for an other one in the nice area... More

It has been nearly 2 weeks since we dined at Chila and I've been meaning to review it but I have been putting it off because I have mixed feelings about it and I haven't quite known what to say. The first thing to say is that there is really excellent cooking going on here. The chef clearly has real... More

Excellent quality three or four course dinners. We had locally sourced hake-a most fish, local veggies, and the most delicious dulce con leche imaginable!

First the ambience, very modern, with large windows on the water and skyline opposite, though disappointingly, not intimate! The menu is like a tasting menu with multiple selections for the 3 or 7 courses, whichever you choose. The food is special, in both quality, flavor and presentation with unique touches and preparations like fennel risotto for example. In all it... More

OK, look. This one is currently number ten for a reason. It's the Cornell of the fine dining set in Buenos Aires. So if iLatina and AE are the Harvard and Yale that don't let you in, Chila is gonna be the place charging you the same price that you eventually roll into. Will it be excellent food? Yes. Will... We opted for 3 courses meal as we wanted to have the freedom to choose what we would like to taste. Kobe beef was really good and the overall experience was quite in Michelin standards of Europe. Recommended!

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighborhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighborhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolize this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
