Discovering Argentinian new restaurants

Tegui is one of the restaurant known for its innovative cuisine and skilful use of local ingredients. We liked the food, the atmosphere and the attentive service. Given the popularity of the restaurant booking is highly recommended.

I took the 5 course menu. First one was ok, the second one was good, third one was poor and the main course was a disappointment. Lamb which you can never chew.5th one is the dessert. Even the coffee was below average. The very good thing though is the service. From the wellcoming to all the way hospitality was perfect.... More

Tegui restaurant(Buenos Aires): Was really looking forward to having dinner here shame: - Terrible customer service. - Poor 10 course meal. - Amateur sommelier (french backpacker? Arrogant and could not speak English) - General management prohibited pictures with flash (looks like they aren't fans of food bloggers) - I had 2 deserts that were only fruit and cheese (No pastry... We were looking forward to Tegui, with its many listings as the best restaurant in BsAs. Our tasting menu was fine but not nearly as good as the hype - and nowhere near as good as I Latina or Tarquino (in the same price range) or Casa Felix (which is both better and cheaper)

I'm not a foreigner, this restaurant is in my own country so my expectations are higher than usual for a local restaurant that is ranked as one of the best 50 in the world. I have to say that it's ok, different food through 5 steps with many regional and local products, prepared in unusual ways, like the Yerba Mate's... More

One you find Tegui (and it is really hidden, so that part wasn't easy) in Palermo, you will be happy you did. The food was incredibly creative and lovingly prepared. The servers were very knowledgeable, warm and charismatic. We opted for the 5 course wine tasting menu with wine pairings. Every course was inventive and surprising. The wines were perfectly... There were a few restaurants that I was very keen on trying on our Buenos Aires trip and this was one was at the top of my list. Maybe I raise my expectations a bit too high but I was disappointed in what was served. Certainly didn't feel like a top 50 restaurant - the food was creative and not... More

This was our second trip to Buenos Aires and our second meal at Tegui! It was a must for us to revisit this amazing restaurant. Our first meal was ala carte and the best pork belly I have ever had. This time the chef designed a tasting menu, the experience was just as delicious. The restaurant is gorgeous, the neighborhood... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
