Food experience in buenos aires

If you are looking for a gourmet experience in buenos aires, this is the place to go. Of course they have a dulce de leche dessert and it was amazing. It is more European style of food then the typical Argentinian dishes. We had the menu with wines, all amazing Argentinian wines. Delicious

Was really torn about whether to come here or not. I know it's top-rated and recommended by concierge, but the type of restaurant it was was just not my thing. Alas since we were there we made it afterall. The space itself is beautiful, with a modern design, open kitchen, and heated outdoor area. The service was fine if a... More

Some of us remember an old (50s) song called The Green Door. Well, in this case the delights are behind the black door. To get in this upscale domain one must locate this black door in the middle of a white wall covered with graffiti on Costa Rica Street in Palermo Hollywood. There is no sign in evidence, just tiny... We were very excited to try Tegui after reading reviews in the New York Times and the San Pellegrino list. It was easy to make a reservation via email, although when we called the day of to confirm dinner, we realized they hadn’t transferred the reservation from the email to the actual reservation book. It’s a good thing we called!... More

I took the 5 course menu. First one was ok, the second one was good, third one was poor and the main course was a disappointment. Lamb which you can never chew.5th one is the dessert. Even the coffee was below average. The very good thing though is the service. From the wellcoming to all the way hospitality was perfect.... More

Tegui restaurant(Buenos Aires): Was really looking forward to having dinner here shame: - Terrible customer service. - Poor 10 course meal. - Amateur sommelier (french backpacker? Arrogant and could not speak English) - General management prohibited pictures with flash (looks like they aren't fans of food bloggers) - I had 2 deserts that were only fruit and cheese (No pastry... We were looking forward to Tegui, with its many listings as the best restaurant in BsAs. Our tasting menu was fine but not nearly as good as the hype - and nowhere near as good as I Latina or Tarquino (in the same price range) or Casa Felix (which is both better and cheaper)

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
