Very good food, very bad service

We tried Tegui after seeing so many positive reviews. The food was very good as well as the decoration of the restaurant. But the service is well below stantard for a restaurante of this quality: we arrived on time and we were asked to sit in our table 30' after, the waiters were bringing our next... read more

Our second 10 course tasting menu of our Buenos Aires trip and for anyone who wants a short hand review, get to iLatina before thinking about visiting Tegui. The long hand version is that the first 6 courses are truly amazing. Hugely innovative, perfectly curated tastes and lots of talking points. The amuse bouche of asparagus and vinegar was tangy... I've eaten at many restaurants and this was easily the best and most perspective-shifting meal I've ever eaten. It was the culinary highlight of my wife's and my honeymoon in BsAs. Thanks staff of Tegui!!!

Oh this restaurant was so good. It's expensive but worth it if you want to treat yourself. It's 1200 pesos for the meal and another 600 if you want to do the wine pairing which we did and recommend. At this time that's $US134 each so not cheap. The service was superb, friendly, and efficient. The meal was a series... More

This is an exceptional restaurant and was well up to our expectations. My wife and I enjoyed a superb degustation meal with matched wine. My favourites: lettuce with smoked egg, suckling pig and a ‘royal’ version of death by chocolate. It is not often I am given instructions on how to eat something e.g. “You eat it with your fingers”.... More

went hear on last night in BA before returning to the US on 1/8. Had originally planned to go to I Latina for last meal, but met someone who swore Tegui was better. While the food/presentation was an interesting experience and the service was decent; the violent food poisoning we got 4-6 hrs after concluding the meal was the worst.... More

We had the best experience at Tegui when we were visiting BA in December. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the wine pairings. It is a meal to remember. One of our highlights.

Tegui came highly recommended so we tried it out 1st night here. It looks interesting from the outside with a great graffitied wall and it is a nice looking restaurant inside. We were asked to take a seat on a sofa once we got in and we were offered a glass of Prosecco. Nice touch but a little pretentious considering... More

This promised to be a great experience. The hostess and the entrance looked great, we entered and we're offered a glass of champagne. Then we knew our table wasn't ready. Twenty minutes later we sit down. We wait to be served. They show you an abstract idea of what to expect. The food kept coming and the overall feeling was... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
