I had the 7 course menu with wine pairings. Out of the 7 I felt that 3 were outstanding and I can say I can feel the thought process and effort invested by the chef. They were balanced, well thought through dishes, though as someone has said before the textures do get rather repetitive. The wine pairing was outstanding.Well worth the money,... More

Super find in San Telmo. Excellent 6 course tasting menu with paired wines sourced from smaller wineries throughout Argentina. Really varied and interesting dishes including rhea and llama, an incredible combination of 8 different tomatoes and 2 superb desserts. Grabriela and her staff provide excellent professional and attentive service in an quiet and intimate environment. Well worth the trip.

Im sorry, but this place is not worth a visit. The service is good, the people working there is very nice, the visuel experience is okay and they try to give a great tasting-experience, but they fail! They try to be something, they are not. They have cook-books from Noma (DK) and El Bulli ( Spain) standing on the bar... More

The tasting menu was a delight—great flavors, interesting surprises (starting off with an olive oil tasting, very cool), and attentive staff. The chef has a very clear vision for his food and everything came together in the most delicious way. The first dish—a gazpacho celebration of various tomatoes—was one of the best plates I've had in a long time.

It's a nice idea: they organise a menu - no other options - with all kind of unusual South American meat such as Lama, Vizcaya, etc. and quite successfully pair it with wine. The food is quite original and all in all pleasant, if a bit repetitive, with in three occasions a variation of texture and cooking techniques on the... More

We visited El Baqueano last night for the 8 course tasting menu and it was spectacular! The food was a work of art and the flavors of each dish so unique and went well together. It truly was an excellent dining experience. We started with glasses of the delicious sauvignon blanc and then opted for a bottle of Bonardi, which... More

This is such a surprise in the San Telmo area. When you arrive you might be quite disappointed as the area is a little strange(take a cab) and the interior of the restaurant is quite plain, so the food comes as an even BIGGER surprise. Wow, this husband and wife team are quite talented and very gracious in their hospitality;even... More

Read about this restaurant in a magazine and decided to visit it to experience different meats in Argentina. Was completely surprised and amazed at the beauty and taste of every single dish we received on the set menu. Every dish seemed like the best thing I had ever eaten. This restaurant is not to be missed.

We made plans to have dinner at El Baqueano and we were not disappointed! The food and wine pairing were out of this world! Everything was so perfect that not going to El Baqueano is a real mistake! The restaurant should be on everyone's list who comes to Buenos Aires!
