In a quiet street of San Telmo, I, my husband and a couple of friends sat down to the second most extraordinary food experience in Buenos Aires! It is a must visit place for all foodies and such a wellcome! Gabi matches the wines perfectly (if you ask for the harmonized menu), and all becomes the perfect experience!

We stopped by El Baqueano on the last night of our stay in Buenos Aires and were blown away. The chef and sommelier (husband and wife) worked beautifully as a team to serve us a wonderful tasting menu of plates all native to Argentina. We had a set menu so we just went with the flow of what was served... More

I wasn't very impressed with the food served. Asked for the biggest menu which was only 6 or 7 steps and it's based on exotic meat but they came so in disguise that you coudn't really tell which was what. It could all be any ordinary meat. Service was fantastic with a profound explanation of each step and harmonized drinks,... More

Hidden gem downtown San Telmo. Great tasting menu, well thought out wine pairings, exceptionally interesting raw materials (rabbit hearts, carpaccio of lama), good service and a fantastic value. An 8 course tasting menu with wine pairings at ARS 700? Simply unbeatable. Food and wine pairings up to par with several European 1 x Michelin star restaurants.

Was there on a food walking tour (fuudis) and we had main courses there. A sample of 3 meats (ostrich, buffalo and crocodile).

One of the best meals we've had! Went for the 7 course menu with wine pairings and was very impressed. The dishes were original in both taste and presentation and the meal was a delightful tasting experience. Would go back again and again if only I lived in Buenos Aires.

We visited this place 2 years ago and really wanted to come back and try it again. We weren't disappointed. We had the 7 course menu with wine pairings. We thought all the wine choices were excellent. The food was very good. Probably our least favourite was the pickled vizcacha but that's our personal tastes. Beetroot as a dessert? Who'd... More

I had the 7 course menu with wine pairings. Out of the 7 I felt that 3 were outstanding and I can say I can feel the thought process and effort invested by the chef. They were balanced, well thought through dishes, though as someone has said before the textures do get rather repetitive. The wine pairing was outstanding.Well worth the money,... More

Super find in San Telmo. Excellent 6 course tasting menu with paired wines sourced from smaller wineries throughout Argentina. Really varied and interesting dishes including rhea and llama, an incredible combination of 8 different tomatoes and 2 superb desserts. Grabriela and her staff provide excellent professional and attentive service in an quiet and intimate environment. Well worth the trip.

Im sorry, but this place is not worth a visit. The service is good, the people working there is very nice, the visuel experience is okay and they try to give a great tasting-experience, but they fail! They try to be something, they are not. They have cook-books from Noma (DK) and El Bulli ( Spain) standing on the bar... More
