The food was wonderful. This place has a tasting menu but you will not leave hungry. The paired wines from Mendoza Argentina are delicious. The hostess spoke English and discussed each course and wine pairing with us. This was a very enjoyable experience. We were referred here by staff at a fully booked restaurant. We did not need a reservation.

We had reserved through our hotel at 8:00 as we had an early flight the next day. We arrived at paraje aravelo at around 8:10pm to be told that they wouldn't be open until 8:30 and to be shunned out the door and the door locked behind us as if we were going to break it down to get in!... More

We had the 10 course menu and it wasn't cheap. Service was attentive and the chef was friendly. The wine was pretty good but I was disappointed with the food. Although some of the dishes were excellent others were a miss, such as the mushrooms gnocchis. Unfortunately, some of the dishes were far too salty, which were you have 3... More

We too had the 10 courses with matched wine and we enjoyed 9 of them which is pretty good indeed.e My only real criticism is a petty one - the service was too fast and didn't really give ample time between courses to savour for a few moments. That said I would thoroughly recommend it on both taste and price

We did the ten course degustation with matched wine - absolutely amazing!!! We had such a wonderful night and loved every single course. Extremely well priced, lovely waiting staff and spectacular food. We have raved about this restaurant endlessly to friends!

With eight courses and six wines and amazing service we had one of the best dinning experiences ever. The decor is simple and unpretentious while still quite quaint. The timing of each wine and dish was nothing less than spot on. I would highly recommend giving this wonderful restaurant a go!

An excellent 6 and 8 course meal. Ingredients well paired even though a bit oversalted at time. Staff very helpful. Wine was good too, even though I wish I could have had a bottle vs a couple of glasses.

I really wanted to like this place, I'd read a lot of good reviews and I like tasting menus. In fact I am a sucker for anywhere there says, just sit down, choose how many courses you want to it and we will bring you a series of delights. Why make unnecessary decisions when someone can do it for you?... More

We were told that the chef had worked at the Fat Duck - washing dishes maybe? The food was:- Pretentious Tasteless Badly presented Enough said we will not be going back - we were a table of 10 & the above comments were unanimous.

I went many times for lunch and dinner: The last time I went with some visiting friends. The sommelier was very friendly (we brought our own wines) and he served them perfectly
