In one word 'Wow'

This place is splendid. Amazing atmosphere, wealthy locals go to this restaurant and now I know why. Setting is grand, waiters are very attentive. 5 star treatment. Menu is too die for. The beef just melts in your mouth. The starters are very big portions, so don't have one each, choose... read more

Very nice restaurant, the portions are good to split. You better pay cash otherwise current exchange will be no good at all. Overall this place is beautiful and in a perfect location.

Where to start? Great food, great atmosphere, great service and great value. We read all of the great reviews of Fervor and, even though our hotel was right next door, we saved this for our last meal in BA. Not disappointed! We had the tortilla, filets with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables and ended the evening with a cocktail. Great... More

Unprepossesing entrance, the atmosphere is very classic european or argentinian with its white and black checkered floor. Bustling with energy during lunchtime. You name the cut , they will have it, and sizes from 200 grams for a light eater, 400 and 600 grams for heavy weights... My inlaws shared an " asado de tira" which was great, fish was... More

Our hotel in the Puerto Madero area suggested we try this Recoleta area restaurant with a great mix of steaks and seafood. It was outstanding and a great value. Service was very attentive and friendly. Were very accommodating to the four Americans who could speak no Spanish! THEY apologized to US for their English being

A well-traveled friend said Fervor was a restaurant he always heads to when he's in BA, so we went. Even our high expectations were exceeded. The restaurant is beautiful but not stuffy, in a classic BA parilla style. Fantastic steaks, as expected, and everything else we had was great too. But what really set it apart was our waiter, who... We were travelling in South America with another couple and our guide recommended Fervor to us when we were wanting a good steak restaurant. We were not disappointed. We made a reservation and from the moment we entered the door we felt welcome. The restaurant was busy and there was a wonderful buzz, but this did not detract from the... More

A very nice, classically styled restaurant with good service. I managed to get a table without reservation with little fuss although it was pretty busy. Sat in the mezzanine with a great view over the main floor. The steak I had was good, great bottle of wine too but overall I found it a little expensive in comparison to other... More

Our visit to Fervor was excellent. The restaurant struck us as classically Argentinean in both decor and service. We both had well-prepared dishes of sole and sea bass along with an ample and delicious side salad. Definitely a highlight of our trip to BA.

We actually had reservations at La Bourgogne which unbeknownst to us had been cancelled. There we were, all dressed up and no place to go! The concierge at the hotel Alvear Palace suggested Fervor and it was fabulous. It is a fish and beef establishment with a particularly attractive interior - lower floor and upper balcony seating - and we... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
