Great experience but not for food

Tango is an art and this place offers an amazing experience in the theater! Food frankly is so so, but show is worth of it! Offered wine is not good either (can order a la carte)! Recommend the place for the beauty of the show and not the food experience!

Last week I reported to you on an enjoyable lunch at the “Café de Los Angelitos” and gave a quick review of the history of the Café, one of the famous historical Tango Cafés established in 1890, on the corner of “Avenida Rivadavia” and “Rincon”, where Carlos Gardel, the most famous Argentinean Tango singer, began his career with Jose Razzano... We enjoyed the show as it was a really good way of understanding the history of tango. The dancing and singing was superb and costumes lovely. We sat upstairs looking over the stage and it was perfect. We loved the atmosphere. The food was average. It was large servings and the package included wine beer and soft drinks. The service... We booked the package including hotel ick-up and dinner and frankly the show was outstanding, the rest was disappointing. The show is top notch with over an hour's amazing tango dancing, no commentary or explanation, just fine dancing. I cannot a show being any better. The food was average at best and the we were allowed only 45 minutes to... More

Great show that presented the evolution of the Tango from the beginning to today. Great group of hard working dancers and a talented 5 piece band. We thought the food was very good. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Our wine glasses were never empty. Knowing Spanish would help listening to the songs, but no way is required to... More

We came here on an organised tour from the MS Zaandam which had docked earlier in the day. We paid US $79.95 per person but you may be able to book directly yourself. Very professional show and well worth the expense.

Dinner was subpar. The waiter was accommodating and allowed me to order a salad as I was hoping for a healthier option. The salad was fine but nothing great. I would suggest eating dinner elsewhere and going to see the tango show. The acts were beautiful and the costumes fun!

The tango show at the Cafe de Los Angelitos is absolutely great. Fantastic dancing in both ensemble and couples, great singers and musicians and a fantastically choreographed show. I would give it five stars for the dancing. The meal was a complete let down however and was the only culinary sour note from two weeks in Argentina. The set menu... More

As this was part of the group tour, I wasn't expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised - the food was good, but the show was even better. I had been expecting something a little on the cheesy side and was very pleasantly surprised by how good the singing and the even better dancing and music were. The service was... More

An old theatre-restaurant. Excellent dancers and musicians create a romantic atmosfere. The music is not loud. And surprise...the food is very good! Transfer was arranged by the restaurant.
