Good solid food, friendly service but a bit overrated

We were told by hotel concierge that it is a portegnos favorite and after eating there we. understood why. The list is extensive and we had very good beef, and interesting apperitif and an unimpressive empanada. The wine (house wine) was a surprisingly good Malbec. After a most entertaining night at the theatre and on the day of our wedding anniversary we returned to the Palacio and had an excellent meal. Really good service and exquisite asado as wella s the famoud papas soufflé or very special fried potatoes that are the specialty of the house.

Well, if you are in the area and are looking for a steakhouse close by, it's ok to go here but don't expect something extraordinary. The atmosphere is probably the best, nothing romantic or exclusive but I can imagine that's kind of 'old Buenos Aires' and yes there were a number of obviously local people here for dining. The waiters... More

Maybe one of the best meals I had in my last trip to Argentina. The restaurant is not fancy at all, but the food was great!!!

Reliable fare for steak and pasta, but come here for the "papas fritas soufflé." No, it's not a real soufflé, but it's a load of fries cut and fried in a way where they puff up. Atmosphere is also old-world Argentina (by way of Italy), so you have professional waiters and old decor. They have multiple locations in BA.

I have been eating here for 30 years, very traditional place, service, menu, quality remains good as always. BBQ for sure, but also fish and chicken. Recommend for family.

One of the most traditionals restaurants of Buenos Aires, Always with the same good flavor. Ask for the BIFE DE CHORIÇO. Restaurant very simple but with excelente food. Centrally located.

This restaurant has been written about in many guidebooks, so I had to check it out. Had the 'bife de chorizo' specifically mentioning to cook it very rare, which they did. The fries that accompanied it are sauteed, making for an interesting taste/texture. Overall the food was very good and I had no complaints, but not worth the high price... More

I had the ribeye and DW had the filet. The soufle portatoes are to die for. The wine list is good and it is good value, When you choose a steak the side is included (not a la carte). Many other resatraunts make the potato or salad an extra. Our bill here was less than Don Julio. You will not... More

The fries is so good that it actually over shine the steak. The service and the wine recommendation is very good too.
