This restaurant was suggested by a few colleagues and I decided to try it. It´s nice, cozy and very charming. There´s a lot of options on the menu and I decided to try the most ordered plate: Ojo de beef Potato soufle. AWESOME! A very well cooked beef and a nice and tasty potato. The bad thing is that they... More

I just to eat there daily, a top sirloin steak, with potato soufle, salad and desert! wow, what a feast it was, they have great food, good service, reasonable prices, and everything is fresh, try the fish, or the wonderful pasta dishes, a fresh fruit salad for deser, or how about panqueque con banana y dulce de leche.hm,hm.......I will try to... My husband and I and friends and family members have gone here in the past. It was very good and reasonably priced and good service. There used to be a head waiter. Yikes, what happened? We went midday on Father's day, Sunday. First, a waiter rushing the order, brought bread that looked like it came out of trash. We asked... More

incomparable potatoes. The meat isn't so good, there are best places to eat beef, but the potatoes are incredible. Ask "soufle provenzal" , with parsley and garlic

French fries is actually a misnomer--these actually resemble blimps --hollow structures and are delicious. Steak is a specialty and my favorite is bife chorizo--which resembles a strip steak with more fat and more flavor. There is a good wine list. The service is very good and has been consistently so for the more than twenty years we have been coming... More

This was probably the last time I went there. 25 years ago it was a great restaurant with fantastic steaks and the innovative "papas souffle", french fries that look like a pillow and taste really good. Last night I went there again and was disappointed. I asked the waiter about the Asado de Tira (ribs) and he just said he... More

We got to Buenos Aires late at night and looked for Palacio de las Papas Fritas as a confort food and late night place. We were not disappointed! It was exactly what we wanted and received what we expected.

Typical argentine steakhouse that has been around for decades! Must have the potatoes soufflé. We visit every trip and are never disappointed.

This is a tough one since any restaurant that hasn't changed in over seventy years has beaten 99.99% of the odds in restaurant survival. No new and improved Palacio de las Papas Fritas on Lavalle, although you'll find there are three other "Palacios" scattered around Bs As. If you are near one, it is worthwhile to get to know their...
