I was looking for some place to have a decent meal walking along Ave Santa Fe from Palermo. Someone told me that the Palacio was about the only place nearby. The name put me off... Palace of the French Fry..Never mind the name. This is a very elegant restaurant on Laprida just off Sta Fe. I had a superb steak... More

The name is so hokey that i have managed to avoid it for over the 20 years I have been going to BA despite the fact that i spend a lot of time at a store half a block away. I also avoid places on Lavalle. But i recently went there with a friend and was surprised it was actually... More

This Restaurant is a traditional place to eat, mainly its a meat restaurant, famous also for its "air filled" soufflé chips ( French Fries),the food is excellent!...& the attention is also very good. worth visiting !! Its quite expensive, not for people on a tight budget.

This restaurant is very traditional. If you are looking for a fancy restaurant, this is not the place. But once you taste the bide de chorizo and their stuffed potatoes, you'll feel that this is the best restaurant you have ever gone! I recommend for sure!

With a name like the French Fry Palace, my expectations for lunch were very low. I was thinking along the lines of **gasp**, McDonalds with table service. Boy was I wrong! The wait staff wear classic uniforms and attend to your every need as though you are the only one in the restaurant. Linen table cloths and lovely place settings... More

After walking Florida Street for a couple of hours and knowing we would be doing a guided walking tour later in the afternoon we happened upon this wonderful restaurant. One our reasons was because they accept credit cards. Our first problem was what to order to drink (or rather what size!) Thinking I was ordering a large glass of wine... More

This place has many amazing memories for me. I first went as a child with my grandparents and have returned at least once every visit to Buenos Aires. The potatoes never disappoint. I cannot wait to share this experience with my own kids.

I ve been there few times and is definitely one of this places I will always return. The reason... the beef (bife de chorizo) is probably one of the best in town and at a very reasonable Price. The service....just acceptable and the only reason why I don t give 5 stars to this review. If you like steak and... More

Ordered a pretty simple spag-bol - not their specialty so can't be overly critical but... Pasta overcooked, not enough tomato in the sauce, whole thing an afterthought for the menu. Service efficient (most important for me) but quite unfriendly - European style. Wine excellent as usual. Liked the old school feel of the interior. Was charged twice for service, once... More

Palacio de la Papa Frita has been a BA tradition forever. Although its glory days are behind, it still delivers good quality, good service at reasonable prices. We did not expect sophisticated cuisine, just basic staples, and that's what we got: well cooked 1/2 chicken and enormous bife de lomo, both with a pile of soufflee french fries. Not Maxim... More
