Nice outdoor seating with big portion

The restaurant's outdoor seating was under trees, so it was really nice to have a lunch on a sunny day. I ordered gran life, which was huge as other reviewers say. I liked the fact that it had a lot of vegetables on the side, but the meat itself was not the best you can get in BA. (well, you... read more

I am a vegetarian. I had the vegetable parilla at Las Cabras because I wanted to join my husband, who does eat meat and was looking forward to his typical Argentinean dish, the parilla. Mine was no good.. I got some very dry and unseasoned (sweet and normal) potatoes and a lot of burnt, black mushrooms.... Not any effort was... More

So, come here if you're really hungry and you don't really care about the taste or the cut you get. Up until I started to eat the steak I actually thought this was the best place in BA. Mashed pumpkin was great, so was salad, french fries and rice (we ordered las cabras special plate-it's plenty for 2!) But then... More

Went to Las Cabras on a Friday night at about 8.30pm and were seated straight away. The restaurant was already filling up. After reading reviews I was ready for problems with service but it wasn't too difficult - we did have to be assertive to get attention regarding asking for a table, ordering etc but generally the staff were nice... Got here at 8pm on a Wednesday evening and we were seated straight away, by about 9:30 the queue for a table was 40 minutes. We were a large group of 8 people, and as very little English is spoken we kept it simple by all ordering grilled steak, salad and fries. The steak was beautiful, tender and full of... More

It's in no way the best food you'll eat in Buenos Aires, but if you're after a casual, cheap meal then Las Cabras is always open and serves simple, tasty BBQ. Service is mind-numbingly slow and red wine served a little on the warm side, but being only a block from our apartment we enjoyed a couple of meals here.... More

After seeing all the nice reports for this restaurant, we gave it a try. We ordered one of the house special platters and one Cesar salad. It was more than enough food for two of us. With two drinks, our total bill was about USD 30. We arrived at 8:45PM and were seated right away. It was full shortly after.... More

Very popular place, come early or expect to wait for a while. We got there a sunday at 9.30 and where lucky to get a table after 15 min. Food is great, large portions and cheap - very good value for money. Being cash, no credit cards

As much as I would love to give a better rate to this place, the two hostesses do not allow that: a girl whose name sounds like Orriliane and the other one, Angelica, are just so unpleasant - they are rude, lazy (please see both of them in the photo sitting down, chatting, and paying no attention whatsoever to their... Recommended by a local. Very busy! Cash only. We had 40 minute wait and that was the amount of time we spent going to an ATM. Carafes of good wine. Steak, caesar salad. Not the best steak but good. Lots of outdoor seating. Many locals.

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
