We always take our Argentine family for dinner when we come to visit and this year we selected La Cabrera Norte. Because of a misunderstanding of the time of the reservation we lost our table for 12. After much negotion (por favor, senor) we were finally offered a table outside on the street. The... read more

We had reservations, but the entry process resembled something akin to a Hollywood version of people trying to get into a hot club... It was chaotic and undignified... And no real need since the place is much larger than it appears. We were seated at 9 for a 8:30 reservation at a table for 4 that was separated with a... More

La Cabrera is far the best Grill Parrilla in Buenos Aires, good service, quality price range are very good, the secret is to order to share, because the servings are huge, no need to order salads, everything comes with small side orders so it is the best choice for a good dinner or a nice lunch while visiting Buenos Aires.... We went here twice in one weekend. The first time our service was average, although we had to wait a long time each time we needed the waiter.. Even to order the first time. Putting that aside, we thought the food was delicious! The meals come with a ton of little "side" dishes that were great to try. My boyfriend... More

Take a taxi. Be prepared to wait 45-60 min. The good news is you're served tidbits & drinks while you wait. Not enough seats for waiting, so it's pretty crowded. The hostess's time estimate is quite accurate. The beef is exceptional. The tapas are a nice surprise and touch. Rather expensive, but totally worth it !

If you can't visit here, it is gonna be The biggest mistake you can ever make. After 2 years, quality is even better. I would say that la Cabrera is the greatest steak house in the universe,

Our only issue was that the menu was written on a microchip and you need very strong reading glasses to go. But it lived up to it's reputation as one of Argentina's premier steakhouses! Richly paneled in dark wood, it reminded my companion of steakhouses around Chicago's stock yards. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the steak was superb!... More

We've been to this restaurant on Dec 30 and put a name in the waiting list since we had no reservations. Big crowd waiting and hoping to get a table outside this place as well as outside the other La Cabrera at the corner. At 8.45 / 9.00 the hostess at the door starts calling names on the waiting list.... More

We went to La Cabrera for dinner at the end of December 2014. We were very much looking forward to our steak dinner at La Cabrera due to the reviews we had read and because many of the locals we spoke with had said La Cabrera was THE place to go for the best steak. La Cabrera was a big... More

This is one of the best steak houses in Buenos Aires. The food was fantastic, and while steaks other places can be quite varied in quality this was all consistently fabulous. To accompany the gorgeous meat, the have a large selection of tiny sides free of charge, rather than diners having to select each their own sides. Picking from this... More
