Amazing dinner with Chiche

My wife and I went for dinner on a Monday evening. Arrived at 7:50 while happy hour was going on. A host arrived at 8pm and began taking names for those without a reservation. Went for a drink next door and got a table around 8:30 when they "open." From the minute we were seated until we caught... read more

If you don't have a reservation, you might wait up to 2.5 hours, even if they keep telling you "minimum 30 minutes". The receptionist does not care to give you an estimate time based on experience even if she does not commit to it. After so much wait, the food was average and expensive. The waiter service was so-so. Our... More

Apparently the waiters here have a practice of telling foreigners some of their bills are fake. They pocket a portion of your bill and replace it with counterfeit money. They then come to you saying some of the bills are fake and then try to get you to fork over more real bills in exchange for the fake ones "you"... More

Good setting. Better have a reservation to avoid queue. Beef is amazing, "bife de lomo" is the best. I would eat there many many other times!

After some days in BA I decide to invite my family to go with me to La Cabrera. I've done a reservation by internet in advanced (it works). I order a Chorizo beef and Rib eye for 6 persons. The waiter was very helpfully and side dishes were very good ( salad). And so, the good things stop here. When... More

Make sure you call for a reservation...or you'll have to wait. They dont seat till 8:30. Food and service was great ! There is 2 locations on the same street. We ate at the one on the corner (which is smaller..we wanted better service) The other is down the block but much bigger.

A lively, authentic ambience and attentive staff nicely compliment what I believe to be the best steak in the city. A dinner at La Cabrera is a must for those seeking a traditional Argentine steak dinner.

Great taste, beautiful combinations of flavours and environment, not more pricy than average restaurants. Definitely a recommendation. Don't miss it!!

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
