Such good Meat

After living in Buenos Aires for many years I've never eaten before In la Cabrera, because the endless line of waiting to get seated was not appealing to me. Our tour guide highly recommended this restaurant and we are happy she did. We were five for the sitting, so she told us to order 1/2 portion of the chorizo sausage, one order of the provoleta, and just two entrees and this was more than enough food for all of us. Even with champagne and wine, the bill was only... More

We had a nice meal here. It appears they have three entrances along Cabrera Street. I asked and the man outside one said they were all the same. Our meal was good. There were interesting sauces they provided to use to eat with our streak. All steaks were ordered "a punto" - medium, but the fillets were well done. Luckily... More

WAY OVERPRICED. Poor value if you consider the prices charged. The ribeye steak had a good taste, but was very fibrous. Unless you enjoy being gouged, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

A beautiful restaurant in the busy Palermo district of Buenos Aires. There are in fact two Cabreras just around the corner from each other (same owner). Highly recommended to reserve as this place gets packed. Fantastic selection of food and different types of steaks. The T-bone "dry aged" was excellent! Lots of side dishes, and a fine wine selection too.... More

My friend and I went for the happy hour at 7pm. The service was rushed, the seating very cramped (I was knocked on the shoulder multiple times by the waiting staff) and it was a very stressful dining experience. We had not realised that the happy hour meant you had to leave at 8pm. At 8:08 we were asked to... More

If you don't have a reservation, you might wait up to 2.5 hours, even if they keep telling you "minimum 30 minutes". The receptionist does not care to give you an estimate time based on experience even if she does not commit to it. After so much wait, the food was average and expensive. The waiter service was so-so. Our... More

Apparently the waiters here have a practice of telling foreigners some of their bills are fake. They pocket a portion of your bill and replace it with counterfeit money. They then come to you saying some of the bills are fake and then try to get you to fork over more real bills in exchange for the fake ones "you"... More

My wife and I went for dinner on a Monday evening. Arrived at 7:50 while happy hour was going on. A host arrived at 8pm and began taking names for those without a reservation. Went for a drink next door and got a table around 8:30 when they "open." From the minute we were seated until we caught our taxi,... More

Good setting. Better have a reservation to avoid queue. Beef is amazing, "bife de lomo" is the best. I would eat there many many other times!

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
