We arrived at the other 'La Cabrera' restaurant first but were led down the street to this sister restaurant. There was no room inside but it was warm enough outside, so we sat out. We ordered a couple of nice steaks and they came with a mountain of sides. They also had some nice beers and wines. The service was... More

We ate at La Cabrera our last evening in Buenos Aires. We arrived at around 10:00 at La Cabrera Sur and they offered us a table immediately at La Cabrera Norte. We were told it was the same food and menu. The food was really, really good. We ordered steak and the sweetbreads. The food comes with plenty of sides... More

Our hotel told us about their happy hour special from 7-8 pm where everything is 40% off! Their prices are normally on the high side for Buenos Aires, but after the discount it is a bargain!

After living in Buenos Aires for many years I've never eaten before In la Cabrera, because the endless line of waiting to get seated was not appealing to me. Today a friend insisted that we go there for a late lunch (around 3) and where seated immidiatly at one of the best tables in the house. At first the prices... More

Our tour guide highly recommended this restaurant and we are happy she did. We were five for the sitting, so she told us to order 1/2 portion of the chorizo sausage, one order of the provoleta, and just two entrees and this was more than enough food for all of us. Even with champagne and wine, the bill was only... More

We had a nice meal here. It appears they have three entrances along Cabrera Street. I asked and the man outside one said they were all the same. Our meal was good. There were interesting sauces they provided to use to eat with our streak. All steaks were ordered "a punto" - medium, but the fillets were well done. Luckily... More

WAY OVERPRICED. Poor value if you consider the prices charged. The ribeye steak had a good taste, but was very fibrous. Unless you enjoy being gouged, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

A beautiful restaurant in the busy Palermo district of Buenos Aires. There are in fact two Cabreras just around the corner from each other (same owner). Highly recommended to reserve as this place gets packed. Fantastic selection of food and different types of steaks. The T-bone "dry aged" was excellent! Lots of side dishes, and a fine wine selection too.... More

My friend and I went for the happy hour at 7pm. The service was rushed, the seating very cramped (I was knocked on the shoulder multiple times by the waiting staff) and it was a very stressful dining experience. We had not realised that the happy hour meant you had to leave at 8pm. At 8:08 we were asked to... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
