One of my favorite Parrilla In Buenos Aires

Ok it became famous and the price went up and lots of tourists. But let's talk about the meat....it is one of my favorite in BsAs. Ojo de Bife or Bife de Chorizo Mariposa...or if you want to go beyond, try the Dry Aged Meat. They offer collorful pots with small portions of salads and sides that... read more

A tourist rip off. Food is ok but grossly overpriced. Steak poorly trimmed and one had to be sent back as it was not cooked to order. Wine is over priced. I will be going to other steak restaurants in this area and will report on them. I trust they will be better

Considering the La Cabrera Norte came highly recommended we were not that impressed with the food and service. When it came to pay they said our credit card did not go through properly and assured us there would only be one charge. We have now received our statement and this was charged twice. We are trying to get this refunded... More

We had waited until our last night in South America to go to this restaurant because of its reputation for great steak, but it was the worst dining experience we have had in the last 5 weeks in Peru and Argentina and we paid the most by far for this meal in comparison to any others! This includes the food... More

I heard a lot about La Cabrera and made a reservation on line. However, there are the on the same block all apparently owned by the same people and you don't find out which place you are sent to until afterwards. We wound up "assigned" to Norte. I had to go through hoops to get my wife to go since... More

My husband and I were told by our friends and our guidebook that this was the place to go for steak in the city. It is a real tourist institution - lots of hype, but honestly the food we had was not that good. My husband's steak was way over cooked, my steak was better but very fatty. I liked... More

Classic Argentine steakhouse, merrily filled with big tables (of lots of guys) in one room, and a more separated, "couples" room, too. The smells awaken the carnivore in you and the portions are are enough to feed a linebacker. The meat was excellent, but a bit overcooked. Order less cooked than in the USA for a better result. Skip the... More

We dined here with friends and had very high expectations. These were enhanced further when we saw the queue lining up to go in, and it was a full house at 8.30 on a Monday evening! Unfortunately expertations were not met, and the whole experience disappointing. Firstly it was extremely expensive. Secondly the quality of the food was poor -... More

We were a party of 14 with high expectations. Service was haphazard, steak was nice but not exceptional and incorrectly cooked for several of our party.

How they get such high ratings is a mockery of how places are gaming or capitalizing on earlier reviews. We arrived early (at 8) when the super discounted earlier seating was still finishing up. After walking around for a little while we came back at our appointed time. There was a long line waiting to get in. After about a... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
