OK Indian food!

We went to this place on 10th March, 2015 for lunch. From Santa Fe, main road, this place was within a walking distance and we reached this place around 12 noon. We were greeted by an Argentinian who was well versed in Indian food. They had one set menu for lunch which we found adequate. The place... read more

We really enjoyed this Indian restaurant. The food was delicious and very authentic. The atmosphere was very nice and wait staff was great. The price was great for the meal (a lot cheaper than we expected when we walked in and saw the seemingly fancy setup). We ate there twice during our two week stay in Buenos Aires.

We were sick of having steak and pasta in BA and were looking for some other options. Tandoor is in a great location, on an intersection at Barrio Norte and hard to miss. Our flight was leaving in a few hours and we wanted to be seated before they officially opened. The owner (Pali) was extremely nice, one of the... More

Tandoor has an excellent menu for lunch. We each got a set menu with different mains(chicken currys), Indian lemonade, rice, and one of us got the curry cake for dessert the other got the ice cream. All of the food was amazing! Good portions, great service, and excellent food.

Good quality food. Not too heavy or oily as Indian restaurants sometimes are. Efficient and friendly service. Not particularly authentic, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good. I'd readily go here again.

Very elegant Indian restaurant. We had lamb curry with 19 spices and prawn curry, both were delicious and moderately spicy. You should try their bread called "naan", they serve it with 4 Indian sauces. Be careful about the red sauce - it is sooooooo spicy. Very big portions.

It is a fine place mainly exotic but you will probably want to eat something else afterwards. The food is good though very spicy, service is ok. I believe it all has to do with the indians beign poor people, a lot of rice, a lot of sauce but not much meat ... You may try it!

Hi, We decided to order in and were tired of the more traditional Argentine fare and decided to go with one of our at home favorites, Indian. Used an on line ordering service called BuenosAiresDelivery.com which linked through the restaurants website and it went smooth and the food was great. It arrived very quickly in spiffy individual styrofoam bowls that... More

The food was good enough... but should it really cost over 1200 pesos for three people to have an appetizer & an entrée, with either 2 beers or cokes each?? On the other hand… I spent half of that amount taking two people for a nice steak dinner at Don Julio's the other night!

I absolutely LOVE Tandoor. Its 2 blocks away from my apartment, and this week I have been there 3 times. Since leaving the States, I have been craving Indian food, and when my boyfriend and I discovered this place we were in love. Being vegetarian, I can only speak for the non-meat dishes. Also the chef's are from India, so... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
