Great food and wine

This restaurant has amazing meat, prepared so good and tasty. They offer a great selection of really good wines, a bit pricy but totally worth it. And the people working there are very nice.

We were fortunate to secure a reservation on short notice (fellow guests at our hotel cancelled) because they are packed to the rafters at dinner (with people even waiting outside in the cold for tables). Service is exceptional here - Our waiter pays keen attention to our needs and wants. Even our shared appetizers were portioned out to perfection. Gabriella,... More

This restaurant was rated just OPK by our party of four. No real complaints but nothing about it really stood out. Just a mediocre restaurant.

The steaks at Don Julio are absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed it so much that we had dinner there twice in five days. We highly recommend the sausage with sun dried tomatoes for an appetizer and the thick sirloin or ribeye for your main course. We did not particularly like the short rib as it was almost all fat. Should also... More

Great meal, the waitress are really well spoken and articulated. One of the owners were there and helped us out deciding wha to have. One thing that is important to say this is one of the first Empanadas in Argentina and de quality is great.

Loved the food. I had a really good piece of bife with mashed potatos. A little tip: the side dishes are really big so try to share it with your companion We sat at the top floor and it started to rain. This caused 2 problems: first the rain was really loud on the roof and we could hardly listen... More

Looking for a classic meat experience and got it at Don Julio. Waited for almost an hour, but were given glasses of bubbly to enjoy on the sidewalk while we waited. Inside was dark wood and red. Felt just like we imagined an argentine steakhouse would. Ate on second floor looking down on the grill full of meat. Ordered the... More

Wow! We had read that Don Julio is one of the best restaurants in Buenos Aires. We walked in jet lagged, tired and to be honest not that hungry. We walked out buzzing. What a fantastic start to our trip. Early signs were good. When we arrived 10 minutes early we were asked to wait outside as they wanted to... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel (Miravida). We were not disapointed. In fact, we went every day for the three days of our visit to Buenos Aires. The food is excellent. The service was fantastic with very supportive and friendly staff. The wine list is quite interesting and not very pricey. We strongly recommend this restaurant.

Ordered Morcilla, Molleja, salad and shared Short rib with my wife. Morcilla(Blood sausage) was really good, matched red wine. However, Molleja(sweetbreads) was already a little cold when we got it. For desert, we ordered coffee and ice cream- beware, it's really sweet!!

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
