Worth a visit

Heard about this place on trip advisor so thought we might as well check it out. Got there around 9:30pm on a Thursday and the place was packed out. We were told it would be about a 30min wait to be seated. That was fine, we were in no rush. The (presumably) manager came out with champagne and... read more

This was one of the most highly recommended steak places and it did not live up to the hype. We had a table upstairs which probably would have been fine on most nights but it was a very hot day so it was uncomfortably warm. And then the impeccable service we had heard so much about...we had quite the opposite.... More

It's Palermo Soho location was 1/2 block from our 3 bedroom lux apartment. On a Monday night six of us ate here hoping for an outside table at 8PM - it was not to be. We were seated inside a full room that seated maybe 20. The food was good, creative, and with decent flavors, but was not memorable. J... More

There was a wait to get in but it wasn't too terribly long and to make it more pleasurable we were served champagne and appetizers! The service was very attentive, friendly, quick.... And most importantly the food was AMAZING!

We were really excited about this dinner and the setting and ambience when you walk in are fantastic. We had a reservation which I would recommend. The service was great, as were the wine choices but both steaks we ordered were not phenomenal which is what we were expecting. They were chewy etc despite ordering what the staff recommended. The... I had the tenderloin , medium rare and it was perfect in every way! They have more than enough staff on hand. You can eat either inside or out. They have an extensive wine list and a sommelier if you need any help with the selections . Reservations would be helpful , but if you go just after 7:00pm they... More

Arrived early and was able to get a seat without a reservation. It filled up quickly though. Staff very helpful and good English to help with all the tourists. Had to order sides separately which made the meal rather expensive. Ordered a tenderloin which was.... ok. From all the other reviews I was expecting something amazing and while there was... More

We were walk-in patrons at ~9pm on a Sunday, thinking that there would be fewer people dining "late" with work the next day. Silly us! It was the height of summer and it was a full house of both locals and tourists. There was an hour wait. But, Don Julio takes care of those waiting well, with free flow sparkling... More

Our servers were exceptionally sweet and willing to walk us through all the different cuts of meat along with the right wine pairing. After thinking long and hard I ordered the biggest steak I could find on the menu, asked for it medium rare (came out more rare though than med-rare--no biggie), but still got caveman style with it. Everything... More

Nice ambience, good food! Lots of international crowd so prepare to wait a little. A must try if you want to try Argentine cuisine!

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
