Great steaks, and great atmosphere

Great sitting, and a lot of activity at this great restaurant. If you want a decent Argentinian steak look no further this is the place to go if you want a relaxed atmosphere and a reasonable price.

After not being able to get in the first night, we lucked out the second night and go in to Don Julio on a Saturday evening....and boy were we glad we did! I think that had to do with it raining more than anything and there was a large line waiting when we left. The steaks were absolutely amazing. The... More

You can't go wrong with the food at Don Julio. They have great food and all the different cuts of beef and side dishes that you can ever want. What really impressed me was that we had a reservation for 8 people and when 20 people unexpectedly showed up, they accommodated us cheerfully by adding more tables as people trickled... More

This was our first introduction to Argentine steaks and it did not disappoint. We ordered steak, ka bob with veggies and a tenderloin. Both were good and cooked to our liking, but the chimichurri sauce was top notch and they filled our bowl three times, so we never ran low.

This is an authentic experience with tremendously good steak. We loved it and would definitely return. Mix of tourists and locals.

On recommendations of my "old" chef cook who regularly goes to Buenos Aires we went to Don Julio's. Great food. Great Service. Great evening.

Good meat, but not the top for the price we payed! The mushrooms are far better than the beef chourizo!!! The wines are decent, but not cheap!

I visit Don Julio's everytime I'm in B.A. The chorizo (sausage) is the best of any I've had in Argentina and keeps me loyal. The Bife de Chorizo (steak) is also truly excellent and I order it every. single. time. The location in Palermo is really great and the atmosphere of the restaurant itself is just lovely. If you order... More

Ate here and honestly had one of the best steaks, if not the best, that I've ever had. The ambiance was great, service terrific. There wasn't anything really to fault with this place. If in BA, I would highly recommend.

Having read all the fanfare across the internet we expected to blown away, unfortunately that wasn't the case. It may well have just been a "bad day at the office" but we were decidedly underwhelmed. A 90 minute wait was followed by average service which mirrored the quality of the steak. Overpriced for BA standards when one considers what else... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
