Wished we could have stayed longer to try more things on the menu. The buffet was superb also. Service was excellent

Sorry to say that this is NOT an french cuisine experience in Buenos Aires. The food is, as best, described as bland. Where are the bourdeux and champagnes? The union soup was not great and the beef is better experienced at any Argentinian parilla. Over priced on tourist hotel. Better venue at near by el mirasol

As I had the impression that Argentina and Brazil were famous for their steaks, I ordered my first steak in South America. I was served this monster lump of beef (see photo) however the quality was inversely proportional to the quantity. I ordered medium-rare which was just about an impossibility for a steak this thick with the result that it... More

On my way to Antarctica, we spent a couple of nights at this hotel. The Le Sud restaurant is outstanding, especially the Degustation menu - which pairs the food item with Argentinian wine. Had the opportunity to try both fish and meat entrees (small plates) and they were delicious. I loved the wine choices as they were paired perfectly.

We went there for a special occasion. Nice place. It is quiet at night. Great food though not much offer and very expensive.

We dined at Le Sud recently as it was in our hotel. Perhaps we came on an off night but the main courses were average at best. I ordered the pasta dish and my wife ordered risotto. The pasta had no taste at all, while the risotto was just ok. On a positive note service was very good and the... More

We visited with a small group of international friends. I had salmon as a diversion from days of steak! The food was not bad, but nothing special in my view. The service was French - kind of slow by American standards.

Quiet. Elegant.Inside the Sofitel Hotel. Frequented by locals for fine dining.Especially wonderful if you are staying at the hotel and the weather is blustery. An item we were not crazy about was a suckling pig on the menu one night. We tried it.Cooked well, but not our style. Regular items are terrific. We like the fact that it is not... More

Overall, this restaurant is outstanding. The menu is a little limited, however, the selection was imaginative. Ingredients were obviously very fresh and dishes were well presented. Our only criticism was that the Kobe Beef filet was not as tender as it should have been (I believe Argentinians generally don’t age their beef as well as you might find in other... More

We arrived quite late on a sunday but we still manage to get some decent food at Le Sud. Really good selection of wine and food. The wine prices were one of the lowest ones that we saw.
