Don't go with expectations of Vietnam. We were looking forward to this place because of the reviews and our love of Vietnamese food. You will be served their interpretation of Vietnamese food which is nothing like it., Maybe three times the price of regular Vietnamese food as well. A great disappointment for us as we really went out of our... More

Went to this place because of the reviews. Worst foods ever. They just basically tasteless. Lots of salt and nothing else. The spring roll, stuffed squid, Chicken Pho and Cha Ca (Fish with tumeric) are all bad. I understand that this is Buenos Aires so I can not expect to have the same quality of Vietnamese foods in the States,... More

The ambience is lovely in this place. You can get very close to your date in the floor cushion seating area, and plowing them with drinks is no problem as they are so delicious you'll just keep throwing them back. Dinner was also very good, but frankly you can find better Asian food in BsAs for the price. I did... More

Very dark rooms, wonderful service, but know your Spanish; try the spring rolls, fried tofu and eggplant wontons, ribs.

Wouldn't go back there. Went to this restaurant expecting to find simple and tasty vietnamese food, but this is too sophisticated, in a bad way. Food was not tasty and it was also very expensive, as were the wines. The place is beautiful, though. If you are willing to go, make a reservation.

If you enjoy expertly mixed cocktails and a stimulating atmosphere in which to enjoy them, head to the Green Bamboo, Costa Rica 5802 in Palermo Hollywood! This is what a memorable cocktail bar should be, intimate, intriguing decor, seductive lighting, cool music that stimulates but does not overpower conversation. And more importantly, professional bartenders experienced at mixing seriously good cocktails.... More

A group of us came to this restaurant at 8:45, as we were starving we ordered a table full of appetizers and our main courses nearly all at once. Our drinks came out quickly - a lovely selection of fun cocktails to chose from. The appetizers were reasonably quick to arrive - and they were all amazing. Our favoruites were... More

We were at BA during the carnival and not many restaurants were open. We came accross Green Bamboo at a BA guide. The negative reviews at Trip Advisor were too strong so that we were expecting not much. We got an incredible atmosphere in a well decorated room, the food was fantastic, we ordered two entrees (the one with 7... More

What we tried: salmon tartare, Saigon nems, clay-pot white salmon (CA KHO TO), chicken curry (CÀRI GÀ), locomotion (cocktail), one non-alcoholic cocktail and two "vietnamese" coffees. Overall we were underwhelmed in terms of the flavour: the tartare was average (served with wasabi sauce-so not in any way typically Vietnamese or South-East Asian), the nems, again, average and the main courses... The rating of poor I'm giving is based on the food, and primarily because it was not Vietnamese. Many of the ingredients were there, but the way they were used did not translate into anything resembling Vietnamese cuisine. The Bun Cha we ordered was 'deconstructed' consisting of separate piles of herbs (Sweet Basil, not Thai Basil), and rice noodles on... More
