I went recently with my BF and the ambience was pleasant, but a bit dark making it difficult to read the menu. We ordered some drinks, the Green bamboo and the Henan. They arrived quickly and were great. After this we were given a very small appetizer cabbage salad that served as a nice introduction to our meal. As the... More

:( :( So sad.. this used to be my favorite restaurant in the world!! Now.. a couple years later the magic is GONE! The dumplings were horrible, the dish with white-fish was uninspired and tasted like.. i dont know what.., the chicken in the soup was overcooked. I didn't even order my favorite dessert, scared to be disapointed a little... More

On a recent trip to BA, we were looking for flavorful Asian Cuisine in a land of steak and Green Bamboo did not disappoint. The wine and cocktails were great, and the restaurant had a really cool vibe. Yes, as people have noted, the food is on the pricier side, however, we all thought it lived up to the extra... More

As vegetarians, we went to Green Bamboo with very high expectations given the fantastic reviews. However, I was disappointed with the food and overall experience. - The service was extremely poor - seemed to be doing us a favor by serving us food - Many of the vegetarian options were not available - we were pretty much told our order... Two years ago, on my first visit to Buenos Aires, I loved this restaurant. The food was flavorable and well presented. This time, I quickly discovered the place had gone down hill, way down hill. Service was abysmal. We waited 45 minutes between our appetizers and our entree. The waitress passed our table numerous times, never stopping to say our... More

Don't go with expectations of Vietnam. We were looking forward to this place because of the reviews and our love of Vietnamese food. You will be served their interpretation of Vietnamese food which is nothing like it., Maybe three times the price of regular Vietnamese food as well. A great disappointment for us as we really went out of our... More

Went to this place because of the reviews. Worst foods ever. They just basically tasteless. Lots of salt and nothing else. The spring roll, stuffed squid, Chicken Pho and Cha Ca (Fish with tumeric) are all bad. I understand that this is Buenos Aires so I can not expect to have the same quality of Vietnamese foods in the States,... More

The ambience is lovely in this place. You can get very close to your date in the floor cushion seating area, and plowing them with drinks is no problem as they are so delicious you'll just keep throwing them back. Dinner was also very good, but frankly you can find better Asian food in BsAs for the price. I did... More

Very dark rooms, wonderful service, but know your Spanish; try the spring rolls, fried tofu and eggplant wontons, ribs.

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
