Marcelo was our favourite restaurant in Puerto Madero. The waiter explained that the dishes were large and enough for two people, but in all honesty they were too much for us, despite the fact that they were delicious. For pasta lovers I can recommend Fettuccine verdi di spinaci, Tagliolini alla chitarra and the Melanzane alla siciliana was so tasty. Service... More

We had lunch at this restaurant today and while the food and the service was excellent, guests need to be very vigilant when receiving the bill. Our waiter boasted that the portions in this establishment were all big enough for two so we were three couples and two decided to split salads and main courses. When we received our bill... More

We were very excited to visit this restaurant, specially after that reviews we saw at TripAdvisor, but we didn't have a good experience. We ordered sirloin steaks with cheese-honey sufleu and shrimp-cheese risotto, but both were bad. The sufleu were tasteless and the risotto was undercooked. For the price we paid, the experience was not comparable. The service was good,... More

Frankly don't get the glowing reviews. Creamy, heavy and bland. Nothing exceptional ambiance wise. Concierge kept telling us how happy we'd be there (yeah like we go way back...) but sadly not. Pizza bread is good though. Beware - cafe at the Malba is also an offshoot. Not as bad though and garden setting is quite pleasant.

We dined here early (gringo hours, as we were tired) on our first night in Buenos Aires. The restaurant soon filled up. The food was delicious - the house made pasta was very tasty but the servings are enormous - we were only able to manage grilled vegetables (excellent) for our starter and then the house made spinach fettuccine with... White tablecloths, professional waiters, bring your wine or select from their list. Delicious classic italian dishes. Salads prepared to order, can be shared. Pizza bread light as air with parmesan. Serving sizes generous. Menus in English on request. Very popular, so make a reservation. Nice walk before or after along the canal of Puerto Madera.

This food was delicious. We had some type of spaguetti which was enough for two. Our waiter was kind enough to heat our pasta after it was sitting on our table for a while and I'm pretty sure they actually added more pasta once it got back to our table. We couldn't eat more so no dessert for us but... More

We were able to get the last available table for our party of 5 people on a really busy evening. The food choices are wide ranging. The pasta is amazing, the portions are served in portions more than sufficient for two or three people, or even 5 as a starter. The pulpo was the best my wife has ever eaten.... More

Great italian food. Large dishes (2 persons). Excellent service. Good selection of wines (try Cheval de los Andes 2009 from LMVH, an outstanding blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon)

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighborhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighborhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolize this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
