Went to Marcelo on 1 March 2015 for dinner based on Tripadvisor's reviews and it was the best decision ever! Except for the waiter knowing little English, everything else was just perfect and the food was simply delicious, including the freshly made bread with lots of variety on offer. We ordered the mushroom risotto and seafood pasta to share... their... More

This was our last meal in Buenos Aires, and one of our best! Superb pasta and salad, wonderfully seasoned and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding and the restaurant was spotless, and wonderfully maintained. Most of the dishes are meant to be shared with two.

Great pasta dishes. We had the eggplant parmigiana (appetizer) and stuffed ravioli (entree to share). Great sauces! Portions are very large. We had no room for a meat dish. Our waiter, Gustavo, was excellent. Very attentive, decanted our Malbec and was always there when we needed something. Highly recommend Marcelo.

All pasta and risotto dishes are prepared to share (for 2) and we had a fantastic gorgonzola risotto with fried salmon. This quick dinner cost us 560 Peso (Risotto, 2x cubierto (good breads but no butter or anything else), 1 bottle of water, 1 glass of white wine) (+ tip) and left a feeling of having paid far too much.

In the land where cow is king, Marcelo was the best meal my family had eaten that we went back a 2nd time. I mean, the moment we left and got back to the hotel, we were talking about what night we were going back!!! I'm originally from NYC & Italian and have traveled to Italy a few times, so... More

Arrived around 7.30 pm with no reservation on a Monday evening. Fitted us in. Beautifully laid tables and a pleasant ambience once the restaurant filled up a little. Service was good - half bottle of Malbec was enough for us this time! Food was excellent; grilled octopus to start and a fabulous crepe with langoustines. We would have preferred the... More

My husband and I recently had dinner at Marcelo's and it was fabulous. Real Italian food offering many choices. The pastas are amazing and freshly made in house. The prawns were excellent. We had a very nice server and the atmosphere was relaxed. We would definitely recommend for good Italian food

One of the best pasta places in town. Don't expect economic prices, but the dishes serve at least 2-3 people, so the overall cost relation is acceptable. Although the good wine list also has salted prices. Service is certainly one of the high points in this quite modern, riverside restaurant. If you like Italian, want to change from the parilla's... Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighborhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighborhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolize this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
