Old fashioned service, comfortable, great view and food.

Sorrento serves a very wide array of continental food, which is a good change of pace after a fe days of beef in Buenos Aires. It has sea food, italian, and of course meat, all served in old fashion style, nothing rushed, quiet comfortable setting. Highly recommend it!

Sorrento Restaurant is one of the finest restaurants in Buenos Aires. The attention is the best, the location is central, the size of the location is big, the food is the best, the beast meat, the bread amazing, I liked that the waiter offer me a shot of brandi for free that was ok with the food, it is really... We tried this and it was so good we went back five days later. All dishes we tried were excellent and plentiful. Two people can share one dish, they are large. Everything great here. Prices were very reasonable.

Sorrento is a well located non pretentious restaurant that specializes southern italian food. I personally prefer their and sea food fish dishes. Their service is average, but this is balanced by below the average prices. A place to have lunch on a rainy day.

There are three restaurants in this chain. The Recova branch in the Recoleta area is quiet and has a pleasant décor but the food is nothing special. There is nothing wrong with it but it's just a little average.

Situated on Puerto Madera, this really is worth visiting. We first visited six years ago when we had one of our most memorable meals. On this occasion, the standard was still high but we asked for rare steak and found it to be a bit overdone. Few restaurants grasp the concept of 'rare' as the local people prefer their meat... On our third night in Buenos Aires, we found 'Sorrento'. Beautifully presented with white linen tablecloths, it gave a welcoming and classy atmosphere. We ordered steaks for which Argentina is famous - bife de loma with mashed potato and pumpkin and grilled vegetables. We were not disappointed and without a doubt, the best steaks we have ever eaten. These were... More

I went several times to Sorrento in Puerto Madero and have never been disappointed. The location along the canal just in front of the yacht club is fabulous. Just enjoy the view on the contemporary buildings and the refreshing breeze of the Rio, particularly on warm days. As this part of Puerto Madero is located just in front of the... More

After walking the esplanade of Puerto Madere we decided to have lunch here and werent disappointed. A very comfortable dining room with a nice atmosphere and attentive service. Food was flavoursome, of good quality, tempting variety and generous helpings. A nice change from the meals we had been eating here this week.

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighborhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighborhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolize this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
