Despite being recommended by the travel guides, (or perhaps because..?), this restaurant does not serve good food. The arroz with duck was bland and lacking much of its key ingredient, the salad was overly salted and our wine was bitterly unpleasant. The waitress was charming, as was the decor, but that couldn't redeem the place.

Food is of a good standard but above average prices for Tomar. Asked for house wine but was advised it was only available at lunchtime.. Strange as we saw a Portuguese couple sharing a carafe of red. Be warned the wine list is overpriced.

It was a nice night, so we ate in the garden. It was so extremely poorly lit, that we could barely read the menu ( we both have excellent eye sight). We were not really hungry so we chose a pasta dish. We didn't eat any of the small snacks provided; bread, olives, prawns ('couverts'), even asked them to remove... More

This is an attractive recently reburbished restaurant with a charming garden. The tables are laid with nice glasses and crisp linen. Unfortunately, the food does not measure up. A plate of bitter olives marinated with orange peel, two pieces of corn bread and some dry, tasteless seeded bread were eventually placed on the table. For starters we ordered carpaccio of... More

While we were roaming through the small streets of Tomar we passed by this restaurant. We decided to have lunch here. We had to go upstairt to come into a very neat dining room. Outside there is a small courtyard. We decided to eat there in semi-shadow. We had very tastefull big prawns. The were prepared "a la mode do... More

While it can be a bit pricey than most stops in Tomar it has wonderful food and an attentive staff. They sometimes do lunch specials that can keep you within budget. A fine place for a special occasion - the fresh fish is wonderful.

Well, it could have been a bit weird as we were the only people in the restaurant today (Christmas Day) but it didn't matter a bit as the food was so excellent. I had venison and my partner had baby goat. Preceded by glasses of port and mushroom soup, followed by a selection of puddings. With an Alentejo wine and... More

Not bad food but overpriced . Staff need customer training they are very rude at times.Asked for house wine was told this was only available at lunchtimes. Every restaurant in Tomar offers house wine at all times please note.
