A good place to eat in Moncarapacho. A large bright dining room with a good selection on the menu plus their daily specials. The guy was very helpful explaining the dishes, we speaking in Spanish and him replying in Portuguese. Sounds complicated but with his patience it was no problem at all. We picked a selection and some had codfish... More

Being very impressed for the food quality and range of choice for a such small familiar restaurant. Antonio's can receive our regards. All done! Back on and on always.

There was indeed a dog, but the dog did not harm anyone and even loved children! So the story of "beware the dog" is totally rubbish! It is a missed chance to have a lovely meal and meet the owners of this place who happen to be very nice and social people!!

Second restaurant we tried whilst on our group holiday following good reports from other travellers. We arrived with eight in our group and were left standing in the bar area whilst the front of house debated if they had a table. Once we were seated in the back restaurant the maître'd was fantastic. (My guess is that he is the... More

While on holiday we had meals here on 3 occasions. The food was fantastic and very reasonable. The local red wine in a caraf was beautiful and so cheap

A restuarant that you must not miss, good food and a very warm welcome, and steak on the stone is the best, and a good house wine.

Traveled to eat at this restaurant but their large dog ran at the boys pinned them against the wall and frightened them so much we walked by and ate in the church square instead

Having been told that we really should eat at this restaurant we made an effort - expecting something special. Having been seated inside (all tables outside were reserved) it was to be noted that the restaurant was full of foreign tourists (not something I use as a good sign). We asked for a regional dish and were told quite disdainfully... More

As well as Having to wait 1 hour for our food to come, it came after a table that arrived after us. When pointed out that the food was late Antonio simply said 'yeah it's worth it' instead of even apologising or coming to tell us it was going to be late. Not worth the trek for foreign food rather... More

Lovely staff matched only by the great food on offer and some lovely wines. Missing you! Made to feel very welcome on each occasion we visited.
