Os Amigos is a small Portuguese Restaurant on the Burgau Slip-way. We ate here on 3 occasions this time. - On the Saturday night during our visit they had a set menu, we had three choices of starter, main and dessert which was very good value for money as was the house wine. (not sure if they do this at... More

Visited the Os Amigos twice this holiday. It is the best little restaurant in Burgau, the fish is from the local fishermen on the beach, the steak and pork sourced locally and has some taste. Starters are very reasonable as is the rest of the main menu - topped off with a carafe of house wine and you have had... More

We had a super meal here while on holiday in Burgau. I had rabbit stew, divine, I still dream about it! My husband had fish, beautifully cooked and all explained beforehand. Lovely lady serving on and doing everything really. Well worth a booking, and do book the restaurant is tiny and only has about 6 tables!

Great food in a small cozy little restaurant. The service was ok and the Owner himself have us opinions on the menu. Loved it.

We really can't see why this place has the great reviews it has. Whilst my fish was cooked acceptably, the vegetables (fresh carrots and beans) which accompanied it were way overcooked to the point they were completely tasteless, as were the boiled potatoes, which were the worst I've had in years. My partner's steak was of good quality, but not... More

We dined here twice on a recent visit to the wonderful village of Burgau. On both occasions, we were really impressed. The owner is a froendly and attentive guy who makes the effort. Starter of Deep Fried Scampi was fab as were the steaks (really tender!) Piri Piri Chicken was great and fresh fish (Sea bass & Stone Bass) was... More

Top of my list for eating out in Burgau. A menu to suit the majority of tastes, with fresh fish being a speciality. This is good quality, fresh, traditional Portuguese food. Kids menu also available. Booking is essential. The staff are friendly and speak English very well.

Small, unpretentious restaurant which serves up straight forward Portuguese food with decent wine. Os Amigos caters for the middle of the market and does it exceptionally well. The chefs are local and traditional. A new English speaking waitress from last year is cheerful and gives honest advice. Booking essential.

Like others have said, we were put off at first by all the "reservado" signs on the few tables, but went in on the off chance and they moved things around to squeeze us in. The food does take ages but is worth the wait. The fresh fish is fabby. Kids impressed by chicken piri piri - they're becoming connoisseurs.... More
