This was our first visit to Longridge and it didn't disappoint. The approach is through a prodigious vegetable garden; the restaurant is elegant and opens on to a spotless, industrial style kitchen. There is a large patio alongside another immaculate vegetable garden - unfortunately it was just too chilly to eat outside. The menu is interesting, with some unusual offerings,... More

Beautiful romantic setting with a stunning view of Table Mountain and the Cape Town lights. Excellent gourmet food prepared perfectly and great wine. Slightly limited menu if you don't like / are allergic to seafood (like my wife). We had a great waiter who is also studying to become a sommelier, so received excellent advise on the wine. Overall a... More

Beautiful view. Tastefully decorated. Elegant. Good Service and good Waitrons always happy to go the extra mile. Delicious food, really good wine. We had Sunday lunch (a la carte). Each meal was delicious. Malay Chicken Curry. Delicious. Nice bite and you could taste every herb in the dish. One Fillet on the bone, served to perfection. One Springbok shank, delicious... More

Sunday lunch on the balcony looking South and enjoying the Vineyards. This Winery is fairly new but the food is very well prepared and tasty even if the wines are still a little young! The service is excellent and very attentive. I have been to a function here a couple of years back and this prompted me to return. The... More

From the Rabbit and eisbein terrine starter, Red roman line fish main and chocolate fondant dessert, everything was great. Great waiter. Will go in summer again to enjoy the view towards Cape Town.

We waited three years to be in South Africa when the restaurants at Longridge Winery and Hidden Valley Winery, Overture, would be open after their winter break so that we could eat in them. It turned out that this year we were in South Africa for the beginning of August and both were open. We made reservations for both restaurants... More

We had a lovely dinner, food was great (we had springbok, duck and lamb) and finished with reconstructed milk tart and yummy bread and butter dessert. Beautiful view towards Cape Town and cozy fireplace for chilly winter evenings. Will definitely visit during the summer to sit outside on the large patio watching sunset!

We recently had lunch at Longridge restaurant and it was a great experience. The atmosphere is very nice and even though it was a cold, rainy day the fireplace created the perfect mood. The view from there is stunning and I can imagine it is even better on clear day. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend the chicken... More

This is a very nice restaurant located on a wine estate between Stellenbosch and Somerset West on the R44. In summer they have a lovely outside area where the views towards Cape Town and Table Mountain are wonderful. Inside the restaurant is well laid out and cozy in winter. Excellent menu to suit all tastes with a scaled down lunch... More
