Great place and great value for the set menu

We went there last week for a sunday lunch (important to book ahead) and had the set menu with paired wines. It may seem a lot as it is composed of 4/5 courses but it is actually well balanced. Great experience, really worth it.

It would be a sin to leave Stellenbosch without having the food and wine pairing lunch menu at Clos Malverne. The food is great! The wines match perfectly. The view is just fantastic. What a way - what a place to relax ! No time ? Just try their ice cream-wine pairing ! And the price? Their four-course menu, all... More

Great staff, great food, 6 out of 5. The views are amazing, the fillet was perfectly prepared. One note, do make a reservation. Many couples were turned away, and it was a time we thought would not be busy... Always assume it will be busy

Went with friends for a Gourmet evening, and disappointed! Our waiter should have been known as the Scarlet Pimpernel - they seek him here, they seek him there! Everywhere other than our table..... The introduction to the evening was poor in the extreme, concentrating and highlighting one particular Nationality and rudely ignoring the support from any other!!!! The food was... More

The food and wine pairing menu was absolutely fantastic - 4 courses with accompanying wines, selected from the Clos Malverne range to compliment the food. I thoroughly recommend going for this options but their a la carte also looked great. The views across the vineyard, towards the Simonsberg hills is great and a perfect way to compliment the food, although... More

We got here for lunch and were so glad we did !!! A very nice experience. Beautiful lunch menu well prepared and presented. Lots of flavours. All courses were delicious. Seating by the patio overlooking the surrounding vineyards and mountains is an unforgettable souvenir. Everything is right about this place: the beautiful setting, well trained waiting staff, exquisite food and... More

Five of us celebrated a birthday at Clos Malverne where the dining room was very spacious but with little air conditioning. Our table overlooked a spectacular view. The fine dining experience was very good especially the slow roasted belly pork. The chicken course rather bland but the desserts very good indeed. Rather pricey we though when considering the other fine... More

Their wine and ice cream pairing is out of this world! The ice cream flavours are weird at first, but absolutely divine once you pair them with the wines. Remember to book beforehand.

The 4 course lunch with wines was excellent and really fine dining without breaking the bank. Any of the options would have been good, but my steak just melted in the mouth. We had booked in advance and got a fantastic window seat looking across the vineyard to the mountains. Highly recommended.
