We had the four course wine pairing menu. The food was superb, the wine was lovely, wonderful service by Mongiwe and beautiful views. You must try the malva pudding with butternut pistachio ice cream, and the springbok was amazing. It is excellent value. We really appreciated the little touches in acknowledgement of our anniversary. Suggest making a reservation to ensure... More

During our vacation in South Africa, we have visited this restaurant twice within a week to have their four course with wine pairing lunch. The view is superb. The food is just excellent. The wines are very good. The service very adequate and friendly. Amy, Roxanne and Brandon are among Clos Malverne's staff that deserve to be mentioned for their... More

On 31 May 2014 my husband and I and our daughter and husband enjoyed a top class lunch at Clos Malverne. Attention to detail was greatly appreciated. I had advised that it was our 46th wedding anniversary when I made the booking and, on arrival, we were congratulated and daughter wished a Happy Birthday. We have enjoyed many meals at... More

More than a year had passed since our last visit and a good improvement in the noise level in the restaurant was noted. It had been nearly unbearable without the carpet. Still it's very difficult to give something that looks like a giant living room a more pleasant atmosphere. The view compensates for most of it and is worth the... More

Our menu was a food and wine pairing menu. 1st course was either Pea and mint soup or skewered crunchy prawns servers with. Clos Malverne Sauvignon Blanc 2nd course was either line... More

We were a large group of friends (26 in total) celebrating a birthday. We had the wine pairing menu and I can recommend it. The service was excellent and hardly any delays between the different dishes that had to be serve to such a large table. Food was very tasty and I will definitely go back there.

The food and wine pairing at Clos Malverne is delicious and really good value for money. The restaurant has beautiful views from the terrace in summer and a cosy fireplace for winter lunches.
