Beautiful views match scrumptious food and great wine. I went with some friends for a lovely food and wine pairing lunch. We were spoilt with a great table which enabled us to absorb the lovely mountain scenery while eating. Time needs to be taken over lunch to fully enjoy the food and the wine that is matched with each course.... More

Sunday afternoon drive to Stellenbosch, a turn at the Devon Valley turn-off and we arrived at Clos Malverne restaurant. We meant to have a game of backgammon with a glass of wine and perhaps a cheese platter, but that never happened. The obliging & frlendly hostess had a table set for us outside in moments and captivated by the warm... More

My husband and I went on one rainy Saturday afternoon.. we got a window seat and luckily the weather cleared up for us to see the beautiful view of our favourite place- Stellenbosch. The service was great and we got a complimentary white wine. The food was amazing and the chocolate fondant was one of the best we've had. Definitely... More

We went as group of 12 people. 3 Options catering for everyone taste in the set 4 course wine pairing menu. A nice touch was the glass of bubbly upon arival. All the dishes were beautifully presented and very tasty indeed. Wines were lovely and the prices well below what some other establishments ask for lesser quality wines. I found... More

It is a while since we visited this restaurant. It was good to see that the food and wine pairing offer is still bringing in the diners. The price has gone up over the years, but so have prices everywhere and this is still excellent value for money. The food, wine, service -- and of course the wonderful view --... More

Lovely setting of Simonsberg and Stellenbosch mountain. We had the food and wine pairing at very reasonable prices. Brendon was a fantastic waiter and we felt welcome and relaxed. A must for a lunch on a lovely day! We will be back!
