Perfection again

Once in a while you must have lunch at Jordan's. All in all perfect, except the not so comfortable wooden chairs. Food always fresh and prepared and arranged to perfection. Fine cuisine at its best. The views are wonderful and the service is friendly.

The setting was always absolutely breathtaking but the last time I was at Jordan I was not blown away by the food. This time I was. The mushroom starter is one of the most tasty dishes I have had this year and the duck brilliant. Service is good and with a glass of Cobblers Hill in hand very little can... More

It was a picture perfect day, an awe-inspiring estate, lovely food, fine wine and superb company. Almost everything one would expect from a top 10 restaurant, except one missing element. Three (out of six) diners ordered the 'Bream with a zucchini veloute with fried zucchini flowers' for the main course. Unfortunately, our dishes arrived 'sans fleurs'. I understand that ingredients... More

This was our fourth visit to this fabulous restaurant and it just keeps getting better. The setting, the service and most of all, the food is just exceptional. This establishment truly deserves it's place in the top restaurants in South Africa. We took friends (there first visit) and they were bowled over by everything. The home made bread and dips... The drive out to Jordan Restaurant in Stellenbosch was certainly worth it because we enjoyed a superb lunch. The beautiful views across vineyards and lakes complemented the food. The three-course menu of the day offered plenty of choice and excellent value for money. A particular highlight was the opportunity to visit the restaurant's temperature-controlled cheese room to decide which five... More

Actually this is not a review of the Jordan Restaurant at the Jordan Wine Estate - but the recently opened Bakery! The Restaurant was fully booked so we took this alternative! The setting is just magical! Just the views are well worth the visit! The Bakery has been there for some time but they have added (the very welcome option... More

I joined friends for lunch at Jordan, and the scenery, venue, location and food all lived up to what Capetonians have come to expect from George Jardine. The stand out dish for us was the mussels, served in a dramatic paper fold, and with taste and freshness which made it a winner all round. The unfortunate downside for us was... More

The food is delicious, the setting outstanding and the overall experience was incredible. Breakfast on the bakery, liquid lunch in the tasting room followed by dinner at Jardine! Couldn't ask for a more fun fulfilled day.
