We had a two course lunch at Bodega for our year end function. The restaurant is a bit on the pricey side, but as a special treat it was worth it. I had pork belly and the trio of creme brûlée, both which I would highly recommend. If you are planning a visit, try to sit outside to enjoy the... More

Went there on Sunday afternoon for a fantastic lunch. The fish of the day with nasi goreng was out of this world, and really complimented the style of Mediterranean food. Bodega has a great setting, and the orange sunset cascading down on the mountain is breath taking. I would like to compliment the service of the waiters and manageress, who... More

Great setting, but i was very disappointed by the food, mostly the quantity. But the dessert was horrendous and when complained about, of which i left 75% behind, the manageress offered me a coffee? Really? She doesn't remove the 2 desserts off the bill for R130, but tries to give us a coffee for R3.50! The waiter was great though... More

Dornier Bodega has the most spectacular setting, sadly the food does not match. We ordered the tandoori chicken Flammenkuchen which ended up being very dry and not served with coriander as specified on the menu. The ravioli with tomato sauce was very over seasoned and we felt that no one in the kitchen had even bothered tasting the food before... More

Went this afternoon for tapas & wine! Fantastic food & wine! Very generous portions! Great value! Big selection of delicious food! We could not finish our food. I am so impressed! The chef went out of his way to cater for me (vegan) and it was delicious! So impressed! Everybody else in our party (omnivores) also raved about their food.... More

Had lunch here on a sunny day. Nice view, good service and great food! Starter was brilliant and big and the main course was tasty. Did find it on the expensive side for SA but was worth it.

Our first visit to this vineyard for lunch on Sunday. Loved the mountain views & the large outdoor seating area. Not sure whether it was arranged but all the diners with small children were seated at the far end nearest the play area which meant that those of us without small people weren't disturbed. Thought the specials rather expensive but... More

My third visit, birthday, family and friend. Wonderful views marred by cutting of pool tiles outside. It's expensive by local standards, wine too, although I knew this. Their flanking far too large and could not appreciate main meal. Venison shank dry, lacks a sauce. Fish good. One dessert only, New York Cheesecake... expensive and average. Nonetheless, will return. Positives: Beautiful venue / excellent attentive service / great wines at affordable prices Unfortunately the food (which is the main reason one frequents a restaurant) was not up to scratch. Mussels as starter not close to the best I have had before.Pork belly very dry while crackling not really crackling which really spoilt the dish! Trio of fillet was overdone... More
